There is no best, really. Each one fulfills a different need or want out of a knife, at least for me, but there are favorites.

Some are Benchmade, Spyderco, Busse, Microtech, Kershaw.

I have to agree.

But, of the few you've listed, I do like the Sebenza.

[Well, and quite a few of the others. The Sebenza doesn't lead by much.]

I think the Emerson CQC-12 is the greatest production knife ever.
I like it more than my Umnumzaan.
The ergonomics are spot-on.
The Benchmade Resistor and Gravitator are right up there as well.

Not listed. My Benchmade 745 Dejavoo. Liner lock is strong enough for me and is slickist knife i've ever owned.

Strictly a matter of opinion because many things are involved in making a knife the best. It can be cheap as hell but worthless at holding a edge, It could be a great knife but you can't afford it which puts it in the same category.

The best knife to me, is one of the best quality knives that I can afford. That comes from trying some that are in your price range and often has nothing to do with brand name. The Buck 110 will do most jobs well at a very reasonable price. To me.

Spyderco Persian
Spyderco Stretch
Strider AR
Zero Tolerance 0200
Zero Tolerance 0500

I'm not shocked by the results, but I would have expected the Benchmade 710, Buck 110, and Kershaw in general to poll higher. Thanks to all for participating.

I was also expecting Strider to be at least in the top 5.

Sebenza at #1 without a doubt.

my current favorite production, and the only production i have carried much in the last 2 or 3 yrs is a spyderco Ti ATR, i like them a lot and have 3 of 'em.

i also like the emerson CQC12 a lot, and have one, and do carry it sometimes, but not as much as the ATR.

The best for me would be the Buck 300 series. Although i almost always have another knife, i ALWAYS have my Buck 309. It's size allows me to carry it anywhere i go. I have a swimsuit that has a small pocket,i sleep in my jeans, the 309 will carry well on the rare ocassion when i wear slacks. The 309 is easy for me to maintain and it's strength and cutting ability are all out of proportion to its size. I have ALWAYS carried it for around 20 yrs. i have an unused one stashed in case, God forbid, i loose it.

The Kershaw RAM isn't listed, but It's been my main EDC
since it came out. I guess that makes it my favorite.......for now. ;)

The Endura/Delica, sure earned their position, IMO. There are a couple of good quality knives that are not grossly overpriced. You are getting a good name, but not over paying for just a name.

In my Book Spyderco beats the heck out of Benchmade.
