So neat to see these come out again Charlie- what an amazing find, funny enough, I now live a few minutes away from the seller- small World- makes me want to go and ask to crawl around the roof againJust to perk up this thread, and remind everyone what an interesting knife an Ettrick is, here is one of a set of six(6) Ettricks found stashed in an old Lambing shed in New Zealand!! The Box fell apart, but the 6 knives remain!!View attachment 3179499View attachment 3179500

I have carried an Ettrick, and found it quite useful!! It is a handy "detail" whittler, even though it was designed more for husbandry!!!!
It stretches the boundaries of what one might carry in their pocket!!
Go visit and say hello!!!So neat to see these come out again Charlie- what an amazing find, funny enough, I now live a few minutes away from the seller- small World- makes me want to go and ask to crawl around the roof again
You have some stunning examples there for sure.
Well I enjoyed carrying my No-Name Ettrick so much, I asked Rhidian to make me one, with a few subtle adjustments!!
First, pictures of the No-Name, which I passed on to a friend - it's a worthy knife!!

The blade is more professionally ground, and all fitting is smoother!! I like it immensely!! It was greatly influenced by the old Joseph Rodgers that Duncan gave me!!Campbellclanman !!!View attachment 3126823View attachment 3126822
