What is the most expensive knife you bought that you didn't like?

Spyderco Manix 2. It's a great knife and very well made but way too big for me to carry. I'll keep it around for use around the house, but I'll never carry it.

Sadly it was a Scott Cook Lochsa, bought here on the forums, and resold on the forums, back when they were going for about 400.00. If only I'd held on to it:foot: and sold it now !. Anyway beautiful piece, just did not "speak " to me. Any hoo onto the next

Ouch!

Tom Brown Tracker. Not so much didn't like it as didn't find it inspiring in the least.

If I can answer with just expensive knives that I didn't like here's a list:
G&G Hawk R.A.Z.R
Yuna Hard 4
Brian Tighe Pinnacle
Scot Matsuoka Pe'a
Tom Mayo Med TNT 6K
Brian Tighe One On
R.J. Martin Blitz
Andy Fitz Alias
Brad Duncan Misfit

Darrel Ralph MM3,F&F was good, but basically a three finger knife(for me) for $600+

Murray Carter neck knife. I forget how much it was but $365 sounds right. It looked nice from pictures and I have heard people rave about his stuff. I hated it. Now I am not saying there was anything wrong with it nor would I steer anyone away. I was my taste issue.

Expensive for me, a Geppetto GEC whittler. About a hundred bucks. Sharp edge on every bolster. Back end of small blades sharp enough to cut my hand with the blades closed. Main blade tip exposed when closed. Took most of an evening to put things right. I'll probably keep it, but my second disappointing experience with the quality of Great Eastern knives. Probably the third most expensive knife I've ever bought.

Spent $455.00 or so on a full size Sebenza with computer Graphics on handle. Just didn't like the feel in hand, gave it to my Son.
Also purchased a few Emersons, and they just weren't my cupa, lost money on moving them out.
From those expensive lessons I've stuck with my Spydies and a few Benchmades, couldn't be happier. :D

Coldsteel AK-47.

It sound sooo great on youtube, sharpest in the world, strong like a boss blabla.

What a point of stronk folder when the blade are dull unbelievable fast.

Well, back when I was waiting on my Busse Battle Mistress, it had a 9 month backlog, they said 6 months :) So I bought a carbon V CS Trailmaster for 170. I took it on a great backpacking trip, but we got soaked and so did the blade. It rusted like any high carbon blade will. The only complaint I had was the handle seperatled from the tang and rolled in my hand while chopping. BTW: I'm not 100% anti CS. I posted eariler today about me buying that insane 7.5 inch Espada :)

I hear ya brother, I still have nine Benchmades I bought still in the boxes, NIB. And about to get that Contego. lol

Actually it was two I bought, hand crafted from the same French company, Chambriard in Thiers, France. I bought the Chambriard Compact and Compagnon from a distributor in the US. At first glance, beautiful looking knives, but their quality control in my opinion left a lot to be desired. For the price I paid for them and how they were supposed to be skilfully handcrafted and inspected, I was disappointed in them and returned them to the place of purchase. :o

Sage 3....very smooth opening, very nice. I'm not in love with it. Just never liked the feel of the handles. Even though it fits like a glove in hand. Just a little bigger than the first two. I'm sure it could be a work horse for somone, including the strong bolt lock and G-10. I think I should trade or sell it on here. ;)

My definition of an expensive knife has changed greatly over the years because of my introduction to the world of custom knives. With that said, the most disappointing knife that i ever bought that cost what was a fair amount of money to me at the time was the Al Mar version of the Echanis Warrior with an Ek bowie coming in a very close second.

Had a tuff customized PM2... sold it within the day. Scales were terribly uncomfortable and missdrilled, blade pushed offcenter and the lockup was wiggly.

Spyderco manix 2. I love spyderco and it is amazing quality, but I have to tighten my belt an extra notch every time I carry it. I know what the specs say but it just seems way too heavy. It also doesn't perform like the endura 4 does.

For Me... And I'm Gonna Get A Lot Of Crap For This....
The Buck 110. It's A Beautiful Knife, Built Very Well, But It's Too Big And Bulky And Just Not Enough Features To It For My Liking I Guess. I Wouldn't Mind Having One But I Would Like A Custom One Rather Than The Production Model.
