So, usually when I get a new knife the FIRST thing I do is get out my sharpening equipment and give it a good hair popping edge, since almost none of the knifes I've handled came with a truely impressive edge, -even the $400 and over knives I've owned have had "decent" but not great edges to start with.
-So my question is: of the knives you've owned which one had the "scariest" most impressive edge straight from the factory?
Surprisingly the best I've seen wasn't an expensive Fallkniven, Rat, or such, but rather one these reasonably priced Kershaw folders...
A damascus Leek, -the shotgun shell knife was a gift from my old employer...
Both of these are so sharp that there is no way I could improve them.
Kudos to the guys at Kershaw who put the edge on these!
