what is the sharpest FACTORY edge you've seen?

The sharpest out of the box for me was a Marbles Ideal fixed blade. Boy that thing was scary sharp! Nothing in a folder or fixed blade has even come close. Other than that, my Spydercos are always very sharp when they arrive; sharper than most other folders. This was particularly true for my Civilian. I don't even want to get near that edge!

Al Mar SERE Operator Fixed Blade in VG-10. Scalpel sharp and pointy too!

Case Mini Trapper second.

My Kellam Tommi Puuko was the very definition of sharp.2nd would be my Dozier Buck Hunter. Both of those knives came scalpel sharp.

Kershaw SG2 Ti JYD II
Kershaw SG2 Blur
Kershaw Ener-g
Kershaw RAM
Kershaw Barrage
Kershaw Black boron and 24k gold plated leek

These all scared me they were so sharp. The SG2 were hair whittling out of the box.

I would have to say My Kershaw whirlwind. I have two and both could shave as close as any razor straight out of the box. Next was my BM 750.

59 production folders and 4 custom made folders
Sharpest ever Kershaw KS 1740 Ener-G

A Benchmade 733-01 S30V.
It was wicked, scary, dangerous sharp.
It was sharpened by Satan himself.
It was so sharp you wouldn't know it cut you.

Ironically, I'm going to have to go with my Kershaw Leek 1660ST (stainless, half-serrated), too! Kershaw ships some pretty serious edges!

Coincidentally---there is no irony here, so ironic is not the correct word. I see people do this all the time, so I'm just calling it to your attention.

My sharpest knife was a Kershaw E.T.

All of my Spyderco's have come scary sharp. I think the sharpest I've had would be the CF / ZDP-189 Caly3.
