My BM710 in D2 shaves my arm hair out of the box. I don't have a Sharpmaker yet so it's good enough for what I need for now.

The last one I sharpened. I've found S30V and H1 to take the best edges so far for me.

Mine is a folding kiridashi made by STR. Not only is it stupid sharp but its also pointy enough to go a 1/4 inch in a finger before you can feel it.

Back on Feb. 6th it was the BM 610, but that changed the day the RJ Martin Devastator came to live with me!

One of my easiest to get really sharp is one in S30V from Phil Wilson. A real cutting machine. Cutting a rolled up pce of phone book paper here.

My new Dozier Master Hunter. Bob just improves with age. Every knife I get is sharper than the one before.

Sharpest knife I own? Thankfully, there are a few that I own which are tied for first place. :D

The sharpest out of the box was the Spyderco Native in s30v. Most knives I have to sharpen out of the box to have a decent edge on them, or even re-shape the edge. Kershaw Blackout had a decent edge, I think, but I bought that knife so long ago I can't remember.

not to brag but anything I sharpen is scary, but that's not what this thread is about,...
How about the next question, ... which knife holds the sharpest edge the longest?

Not one I own personally, since I own a knife shop, but the "cleanest" of countless cuts I've ever had playing with the toys was from the Spyderco BG-42 Military. There are a whole bunch tied for second place.
I need a new thumb!

My customized Buck 110 with moose antler scales, will leave your arm completely bald in one pass. I attribute this sharpness to the special strop
I made. It is very thick leather (1/4") about 2 1/2" wide and 18" long. On the unfinished side, I used a razor blade to cut a cross hatch patern about 1/8" apart. Into these slits, I rubbed a liberal amount of 600 grit oil based grinding compound.
On the finished side, I rubbed red jewellers rouge with lots of oil to saturate it into the leather. After doing your best with your stones, about 30+ passes
on the 600 grit, and 10+ on the rouge, the edge completely dissapears into infinity under a bright light. If you listen closely and breath gently toward the cutting edge, you can hear the air molecules screaming!

my benchmade 9050 is the sharpest that i own with my benchmade gravitator in a close second
