What is the STRONGEST/TOUGHEST Folder?

Anyone have any opinions on the strongest, toughest, most rigid factory made folder on the market today?

1. I want one with a great grade steel. (prefer s30v or 154cm)

2. $100.00-200.00 in price

3. Pretty good knife thickness. (around.15)

4.Has to have a great locking system so it doesn't fail under stress. NO blade movement at all - when in locked position. (framelock or axis?)

5. I would prefer some serrations. (with drop point type of blade)

6.Thick liners and smooth easy one handed opening.

Anyone have any ideas on such a knife??? I would be using it for camping, work, and forestry type things. I want it to handle punishment from the environment also.
It really doesn't matter what factory makes it, as long as they are a reputable company that everyone trusts...

Thanks guys!

Bradley Alias is available w/ serration.... it is a Ti framelock (strong), steel is S30V (same as STRIDER knives) and it is in your price range (well, sort of, you have to look).

Should I stick with spyderco or benchmade companies because of their history or should I look towards less known companies like you guys mentioned because they are better knives?

Bradley are made by Benchmade.
Ontario is a very well known company.

as no play in blade or blade rigidness would you agree to the all powerful; framelock or axis lock for what I want?

I guess usually probably don't want to use anything for prying huh...even if they have a .15 thick blade...

I happen to prefer framelocks. But, I still suggest you look at Manix or Mini-Manix, at least in the price range you mentioned.

It all depends on the individual knife. I have never had a lock fail me on a quality knife. What are you planning to use it for? Specifically- what is the most abusive task you will do with it?

Thanks rat finkersteing for your fast posts...You're a huge upside to this site:)

The most abusive? All i can think of lets say a life or death situation where I need to extreme the blade for maybe cutting through something really hard or using it to hold something up or away from me. Thats the most extreme that I may never get to but its nive to think that it will be there for me in that way just in case, you know...

There are a plethora of knives that will fit that role.
You should decide on handle materials and blade styles to narrow your options.

In my meager collection, the ones that seem to be the srongest are Axis and Framelocks. I can recommend the Benchmade 710 as an Axis Locking knife, it feels like a fixed blade when locked open.

Most would consider knives like the Emerson CQC 7/8 to be a liner locking knives, (the titanium liner is actually the frame beneath the G10 scales). But I find my Emerson knife to also feel like a fixed blade when locked open. This is another manufacture I would recommend without hesitation.

There are a lot of folding knives where the maker/manufacturer will support heavy side loading?
