What is this?

Cool. I could be talked into doin that. :)

Don, my dad drove down and looked at it this morning and apparently the main shaft and the gear are broken. All the teeth are broken. I don't think it would be worth me messing with. And the anvil already has a home apparently. :kick dirt:

Probably could be fixed, but if the anvil already has a home? Bummer!

You waited eight days.

When it comes to used grinders, used welders, machine tools, anvils and power hammers

You gotta get on it and be the first one there, 8 minutes not eight hours or eight days.

It wasn't a matter of time, the anvil was claimed by someone long before we knew about it. It was some under wraps deal and the guy worked out claims on the anvil. They do some funny stuff there.
I entirely understand you gotta get on it, but that's life. My dad scored about 100 various sized heller files that they were gonna throw Away though. Some are rusty and some are not. Either way I'll take it. They are all still wrapped in their original paper.

So what's happens to the blacker? I have seen interest on iforgeiron there is worth in parts to someone if nothing else. Hell if I was close I'd pay over a hundred as a project hammer. Chris

Definitely see if you can pick up the Blacker for $100. There are plenty of blacksmiths that would love one, and you can turn around and sell it if you let folks know about it in the right places.
