What is your EDC and Outdoors Small Utility Folder? Is it the same?

SAK Huntsman Plus. Every day, every where, all the time.

Everything else varies, depending on context and how I feel! :D

Great for field use and everywhere else.

There's a pretty good deal on Amazon right now for the OH Trekker. Less than $27 and free shipping. Just ordered a second one. Now I have a matching set of Farmers and Trekkers!

During the work week: Spyderco SS Etched Dragonfly and a Silver Alox Farmer

Weekend: Benchmade Griptilian and Silver Alox Farmer

In addition to this I usually carry a pocket fixed blade just for grins.:D

I have my BM610 on me where ever I am. I find I does every thing I need in town and does exceptional in the woods, though I do like a fix blade in the woods.
I don't generally like small knives my 615 is as small as I go :)
I find as long as the knife is sharp, a larger knife can do anything a smaller one can and alot that a smaller knife can't That being said, my hands are very used to using a Rukus sized blade, it is my opinion, alot of blade size preference is what your hands feel most comfortable handling for me a little larger blade is easier to manipulate for fine tasks, but hey you know what opinions are like:D

I have a couple 610s, but i do like something small or some tasks.

Though, the Benchmade Rukus is simply one of the coolest knives, ever.

Yes, What ever I am carrying for a folder would go to the woods on that day. If I planned way ahead I would grab the Buck 110 or the S&W Extreme ops which is my abuse folder. Has been for seven years now. Not bad for 7.00.

The only folder that I EDC is a Vic Hiker.

My other two EDC knives are fixed blades.

Outdoors or in Town each and every day.

its a spyderco millie every where now.

I like the look of the Spydie Military.

I've been EDCing fixed blades lately, but almost always have a SAK Farmer nearby.

If it's down to a folder, I like my Sebenza or Buck 110. I think the Buck 110 must be one of the all time great knives.

SAK Farmer everyday, all day. My Project W rides IWB, or in my pocket as well, but thats a fixed blade.

J, do you have pictures of carrying it IWB?

My folder choices are Ritter Grip or a Lone Wolf D2. I'd likely carry my Leatherman Xti if I could get a nice super-minimalistic kydex sheath made for it. I'm going to get some kydex and a toaster oven soon!

Howdy,

What is your EDC and Outdoors Small Utility Folder?

Is it the same for both EDC and the Great Outdoors?

My EDC and outdoor small folder are two different things.

My EDC has to be a smallish folder because of my job. I carry the biggest folder I figure won't cause any concern... currently a Spyderco Delica in ZDP.

But outdoors I prefer to carry a fixed blade, so my folder will be something to augment it, like a SAK. If I'm fishing or hunting, my folder may be a multi-tool to hopefully handle any possible equipment repairs.

If I'm headed into the outdoors without a fixed blade, I sometimes carry a stockman, gunstock, canoe or other multi-blade folder; usually a Queen in D2.

Stay sharp,
desmobob

Wow dude, getting a littler personal huh? :barf:

LOL - j/k - The only time I carry IWB and have it be comfortable is when I'm working out and carrying a Subcom. I'd also be interested in seeing how a small FB would be carried comfortably IWB.

EDC is a Ritter mini grip and a SAK Classic. In my backpack, a SAK Farmer and a large Ritter grip cover the folders. The Ritter usually rides on my pack shoulder strap or my pants cargo pocket for easy access, especially in winter with all the layers of clothes to deal with. Once on the move, the Farmer and fire kit ride in the other cargo pocket.

I have so many knives that what I carry constantly varies---some of you can probably feel my pain here. :D

I usually EDC the same things I would carry on a hike to the great outdoors---my most habitual companions seem to be my BM/Ritter RSK Mk1 Griptilian and my Vic Hiker. They can cut anything that comes across my path in the woods or on the homefront. Very nice knives, and very versatile.

I carry a Spyderco PE Caly 3 almost everyday. G-10 for hiking/camping, and CF ZDP for work most days. I sometimes mix that up with a couple older slipjoints I inheirited, or my Caly Jr.

yeah, 110 is personal fav, I should get that old guy out.:D

Around town 24/7 I always have my Gerber Hinderer CLS. Never leaves my side.
When I go out to the woods I'll take that but I'll grab my Vic Evo 18 SAK.
