What is your favorite blade steel

Yes i know that there are way more steel then these twenty but thats all i can do. If you have a favorite and its not up here feel free comment what you like. Im doing this out of curiosity ive always wondered what everyone preferred. I know as all around VG-10 has never let me down.

Took me a bit to finally choose but I finally went with M390. I've got the Benchade 581 with it and it's just awesome. I've used it decently hard and it's maintained a edge astoundingly. No sign of chipping either. After more use I was still able to take a diamond rod to the edge and getting shaving again with some effort. Impressive stuff in my opinion.

on the list. Toss up between S90v, m390, and M4.

I was going to put AUS-8 but then i figured 1095 would be better, sorry.

How is 1095 "better" than AUS-8? Or why would you choose one instead of the other? AUS-8 vs a 440 steel, maybe...at least they are both stainless.

When i said better i mean't voteing wise since there are alot of esee with 1095 and there seems to be alot of people who like them like i said ill make an other one of this polls with what people like so yes AUS-8 will be on it.

So more people like Aogami Super Blue or HAP40 than like AUS8, INFI, A2, O1, SR101, 440C, or 5160?

I have more knives in 1095/ 1095cv than any other, so it got my vote... next most, infi. Randall's O1 and 440--like them too. If infi was there, it would have gotten my vote over 1095/ 1095cv... but the all work just fine for me.

I like whatever steel the knife I want is made of
