What is your favorite country that you have no affilation with?

Hard to say.

I like countries with a gripping history of victories and defeats.

Favorites: China, Mongolia, Iran, Turkey, England, Ireland, Lithuania, and Spain.

Favorite character from history: The Emperor Charles V of the Holy Roman Empire. Now ruling all of the Phillipines, Spanish America, Sicily, part of Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, several ports in North Africa and huge tracts of Germany was no mean task.

By the way, the actress Brooke Shields is his decendent.

being a primaraly celtic heinz 57 American most of Europe was out, Thia food being what it is however makes me love it, of course Japan and its culture is high on my list, 9yes I like to eat raw fish), China's cool too, Vietnam is interesting, I guess I like SEASIA in general mostly for the food and culture, and public level of respect.

I'm Australian with Irish background though never been there.
I would have to say Cambodia. I lived there for six years the people have abit of everything, friendly somtimes, dangerous somtimes, rip you off alot of the time ( even when you speak khmer and they know you know the right price). the sights are great ( Angkor Wat)the dirtbike riding is the best ( because you can go so many places for such along time and not see a foreigner or hear your own langauge). the women are hot, the poltics are everywhere. beer is sold 24 hours a day every 20 meters. food is Thai, Khmer and Viet. Your always on your toes but for some reason you feel very relaxed. I love it and miss it.

Hi Photo Murray-

Angkor Wat looks something kind of like this:

It certainly is one of the Wonders of the World. The moat surrounding Angkor Wat is several miles long and quite wide. It is simply magnificent to behold.

From nationality or ancestry Mexico, USA, Spain and Israel are out.

I'll say Ireland, so pretty, not crowded and great music, plus the whiskey and the beer, also I believe there is an agreement with Mexico so I can go and stay there without a visa, of course I would have to take plenty of salsa and mezcal.

Kicked Soviet's butt (repeatedly)

M39 rifle scavenged from captured Soviet parts and still one of the most accurate bolt action military rifles ever produced.

Sauna

Puukkos!

London, because I met my wife there
Phuket, because I can lie on the beach there
Anywhere, as long as my friends are there

Antartica, cause it's so darn big and it's so low populated you can shoot a 50 cal in any direction and you aint gotta worry bout hittin anyone! Plus they don't have any gun grabbin laws down there, or do they????

I would 110% say the US. I love the culture, the food, and the way you can be in a desert or in the snow in the same country.
You've also got to love the freedom. I know it's not like it used to be, but compared to blighty, it definitely is the land of the free.
I'm also sick of the taxes here. Nearly $9 for 20 cigarettes, and $1.55 for one litre of petrol/gas!

@shgeo
I know new mexico is a state in the union and not a sovereign country... but it is one of my favourite spots in the US.
