What is your favorite fixed blade knife

My T.M. Hunt Yuma takes that honor. I slowly narrowed down my preferences with production blades and when I found this one, I knew it was "it".

Here's the one pic I've taken of it, along with my folder I carry most days:

Ive had a bunch of fixed blades but my user for a while was a Mora Carbon with a triflex tip. I have since given it away as a gift.

I had one of these for a while

Bu I gave the Shcrade away to a friend for christmas because it was ousted by this beautiful piece of awesomeness.

The Survive! is now my favorite knife and I've already had it out hiking a couple times. It comes with me everywhere, wherever I go its tucked nicely in my pack.

I only own one a SOG seal pup. I got it on clearance for $20 or else I wouldnt even own it. But If I were to need a fixed blade I would buy a Bark river or a busse if I needed to use it. And I would want anything ground by Walter Brend just because.

For me it depends on the task at hand. For hunting I like the Buck Vanguard and for more heavy use I will carry the Schrade SCHF9. Both are affordable and study tools. I also like my Moras when out on a fishing or hiking daytrip.

My Busse TGLB Mini in competition finish. Sentimental value too, as my wife was trough diving at the Busse table two Blade Shows ago, and came up with the magic cardboard. :D

What an amazing thread. I was just thinking: "Gee, what are some nice knives out there?" Thanks everyone who posted. Here is my all time favorite:

"de oppresso liber" AlMar in AUS8 @ six inches, leather sheath complete with sharpening stone.

I go through phases, these days I have a lot of appreciation for the Koster Bushmaster in 3v.
Its tough enough to handle things a larger knife will do and is excellent for finer tasks. My favorite thing is the 5" blade and 5" handle with zero wasted space. No choil or riccaso to separate the hand from the blade. Just a tiny, well placed guard and perfect balance.

I have favorites for different things, the Busse tglb is always a great one for all around use, Busse basic 4 is one of my favorite skinners.

This Martin knives Surv9 seems to be on my belt the most

Sorry no pic.

I have a Busse Muddy Active Duty in a Mikey Moto pinlok leather sheath that is my favorite. I can' explain why, but it is a keeper. Just sweet and simple.
