that's when it was new, of course.

Does anyone else get kicked of of this thread when using Google Chrome? Just this 1 the other work fine.

My Traditional puukko made my smith Pekka Kivimäki in Finnish puukko county Kauhava. 12 years in service and still going on strong. You must love traditional way treated carbon steel, its still razor sharp:

I've seen ya post that thing around, and I really love that Puukko :)

Does that knifemaker still make any like that?

Yeah, Kivimäki is still around and he has few more smiths to make these things. I got another Kivimäki puukko in spare ( alot different looking though ) if something happends to this... and I got finally change test my ghetto white-box ^^

Another vote for the Busse BATAC... great blade size for small tasks as well as a little bit of chopping if necessary. Great for batoning too despite being shorter than a lot of other models

Babakanoosh45: Now that's a really handsome axe. Busse ain't bath either but that axe is beautiful!

RC3 great ergos for my handsize (large in gloves) very comfortable.

Blade profile makes it a great cutter, the thickness keeps it from being a sharpened prybar like many knives. But that Rowen HT'd 1095 is freaking TOUGH. For such a thin blade this thing just flexs when it needs to rather than break, but if it ever does break its covered under the best warranty in any business I've ever heard of. :D

So that is why its the red headed step child in my little horde of matter separators.
