What is your favorite inexpensive folder?

I would have to say that the Kershaw Skyline with the Damascus blade would be mine favorite. I picked it up for a $45 shipped. I sure the regular one would be just as good of a knife and can be had for half that.

I really like my S30v Blur, CB Shallot, and my Spec Bump, but to me they getting up there in the moderate range of expense.

Opinel
Mercator carbon
SAK Solder or Pioneer
Case Soddie Jr.
Higonokami (don't know the brand, Lee Valley version)
All can be had under $20.

Either the Byrd Cara Cara or the Spyderco Tenacious. Both have proven to be fantastic bargains at under $30.00

Kabar Doziers. Got mine for $22 shipped to my house. One of the best bargains out there.

Boker Trance and Subcom
Any of the Byrds

I have the exact same Gerber in my kitchen draw.Always thought it was a great bang for the buck.
Great minds think alike or what?

The Gerber is indeed a very sturdy knife for the money. While the blades does sharpen easily, it does not seem to hold an edge as good as the Byrd.

Since I do like the Shallot so much, I was thinking of having some scales added to it. I am thinking Linen Micarta sanded baby bottom smooth or CarbonFiber. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess Tom Krein is the man for the job correct? I thought so! I can also see doing a few other things to it as well.

The rat model 1 folder is the best bargain I've gotten in awhile. Lots of bang for the buck.

For arguement sake keep it under $100.

Yikes! I had to coerce myself into buying a Spyderco Sage a couple weeks back because I've never ventured above $80 for a knife.

For me, cheap is below $30. And at that price point, the Ontario Rat-1 Folder and the Tenacious are hard to beat.

You must make good money!
