What is your favorite SAK to carry???

Nothing wrong with Huntsman and Fieldmaster....they are great knives! I have multiples of both. The Fieldmaster is considered by many to be the perfect camping SAK!!!

The ALOX just seem to be on my person most days.

That is why I gave it to my son as his first knife!

My favorite SAK to carry is my Farmer. It was my first Alox SAK and it has a awl.

Might be able to check out Manowar669s Soldier tomorrow. If it seems too thin, I might order up a Farmer. Think I willl warm up to an Alox more for EDC.

Not much difference between the two, but the Farmer feels square, or round, in the pocket. Soldier lays flatter in the pocket, so it carries better. I also like the fact that Soldier has Military heritage, and Farmer does not. The Soldier is THE Swiss Army knife, it's the soul of Victorinox, all the others are commercial products for sale. The Soldier is the real deal, not that there's much of a real physical difference. I thought I still had a Farmer here, and I might. I'll look some more, but I may have sold it, since I never carry it. If I find it, you can handle both. I carried that Soldier for over 3 years solid, and nothing bumped it from my pocket for long. It's still in the top two every day.
This was my EDC for years, and it's tough to beat. I now have a different phone and car, added an EO1 flashlight, but the same knives:

BTW, there is a subforum for SAKs and multitools. There are some very cool SAKs out there. I would love a Gunmetal Cadet, and I might get Syph007 to add scissors to my soldier, or maybe hope that SwissBianco builds a gunmetal Soldier if he can find Soldier scales (instead of Pioneer).

I really love my Wenger Highlander I just wish it had scissors then it would be perfect! I also have a Victorinox Rambler on my keychain that comes in very handy.

I've been carrying the Recruit nearly everyday, for some time now. Has everything I need and nothing I don't.

I had a Fieldmaster on my tool belt during the years I worked as a carpenter, but I am no longer a professional tradesman. It saw so much daily action the cellidor handles cracked and chipped, and 25 years later I replaced them with nylon.

I rarely carry a Vic in my pocket, because I always have a traditional folder there. I do however, always have a Classic with me on my keyring, and a Huntsman in my book bag (which by the way, is a Victorinox bag).

So even though I don't have one in my pocket, I am rarely more than arms length away from a Swiss Army knife.

This stag handled Swisschamp is my current EDC, but I also have an SAK in nearly every bag, drawer, and nook and cranny in my world. They are handy, durable, and eminently made to be used.

I'm rapidly developing a passion for the SAK after a number of years of not having one. I've always liked them and have had a few over the past 30 yrs, but lost them along the way - the last one being probably 10 yrs ago or so. This one was a gift from jone a few weeks ago and since then I find myself increasingly fascinated with ALOX and a renewed appreciation for the SAK! This Farmer just has it all and it's masterfully integrated into a compact 3 5/8" package. Each day I find myself dropping it into my LFP before I head out the door. :)

I'm loving the SAKs lately too. I had know Alox knives a month or so ago, now I have a couple of handfuls.
I go back and forth between the Pioneer:

The Electrician:

And the Cadet is so nice and slim:

But my most carried SAK is the Executive:

SAK,

Yes I'm feeling the growing fascination... I keep fondling the Farmer and ogling pics of the amazing variety in SAK's. I could be in trouble!

Alongside my Precious... The #81 in African Blackwood :)

A thread revived for sure. I have had a half dozen SAK's through my life ( still have all of them...except one '08 Soldier I recently sold). This one is the most current and most compelling of the bunch. Along with a peanut in place of the erstwhile Pemberton...this will be my carry tomorrow.

I have always loved the red ones and now with the addition of the blue Farmer, I have 3 special colored ALOX to be passed down to my three grandchildren.
