What is your job when you are not making knives.

My job for 40 plus years was and still is art work and knife making.

it was always cooking, untill about a year and a half ago when i started working for SYSCO selling the food to the restaurants. pretty good job
 
I was a Motorcycle mechanic for 28 years and then worked as an inmate work program supervisor at the Washington State Penitentury for 4 yrs before going full time maker.

I was a part owner in a welding and fabricating shop for 12 years. For the last 18 years I have worked for a county road department as a welder, brush cutter and grader operator. And of course have been making knives on and off again since 1982.
 
i am a professional Locksmith .not one of these fly by night type of guy's but the real deal .been doing so for 28 years . i don't mean to sound "Touchy" there are many out there who use my "Tittle" and bring Shame to it .
 
custom painting corporate jets for last 11yrs but have been putting custom paint jobs on cars and harleys since i was 16
 
Worked for a seal manufacturer for 37 years, starting out at the bottom, and working my way up to supervisor. Lost my job one week ago. Who knows what`s next.

When I'm NOT making knives?? Well, I pretty much shut down the autobody shop, farm a bit, wheel and deal in blacksmith equipment and shop machinery, raise some livestock and hunt everything huntable and some thta ain't.

Mechanical precision engineer. I design hardware for one of the worlds' leading semiconductor equipment manufacturers (chances are high the computer you're reading this on has chips in it that were made with machines I designed parts for).
I also play bass in a soul/disco band...
