What is your knife budget?

I missed this thread 10 years ago, but my budget is quite a bit more, these days. I set aside $30 every 2 weeks for my spending money. This goes to knives, cigars, cards, or whatever I feel I need that isn't in the regular budget. Lately I spend about half of that on knives, saving up for what I want to get.

So, that works out to about 30-35 per month, which really isn't much, now that I think about it...

My Lady handles the finances. She will let me get whatever I want. But I do not abuse her generosity. I will only buy what we can afford, and throw in a knife for her whenever she wants. Her collection is steadily growing.:D

I started out only buying knives that I was gonna bend kydex with. That lead me here, which is an addiction for us newbies (I don't care what the doctors tell me).
Now I have all sorts of afflictions. Slipjointitis. Tactical unnecessarium. Chopper overkiliosis. And of course metalitis unobtainium.
Curse you Bladeforums!!!;)

Oh, and I spend about $500.00 a month based on how much I make in sales to cover my blade medical costs. LOL

I wouldn't say I have a budget per se, but I have a job and I'm single so I have disposable income. I've bought maybe 4 knives in the past year totaling about $300 so I guess you could say my budget is $25 a month.

For me my knife budget is measured annually instead of monthly. Even then I really only like to buy something if it would fill a purpose. Honestly I could probably be set for life with what I have now. I have a daughter on the way. The older I get the more I re-evaluate what is important. Just my 2 cents though, I don't judge.

The other thing is that most people have some vice they spend money on, the trick is to just have one. I have heard people criticize someone for spending more that $30 on a knife but then turn around and spend $100 a month on video games, or $2,500 on rims for their car, ect.
