What is your most valued knife?

I've been wondering for some time what we collectors consider to be our most prized possessions. Even if you aren't a collector, tell us what and why you favor one knife above all others. Of course, this isn't necessarily a monetary value thing, it's can also be a personal thing.
For example, my choice is my Gerber model 535 in Stellite 6K that my father gave to me some years back. It is not a unique knife, but it is rare and it signifies a similar rare bond between he and I. Sorry no pictures of it for now. I'm working on that. I'll post them when I can upload some.

Anyone wish to share thoughts on thier choice?

A Boker punch blade stockman that belonged to my Grandfather. It is still very solid even though it has to be quite old. He was born in 1893.

The one I have when I need it. Sorry had to. But as for my most prized would probably be.... Heck that's a hard one. I am a real fan of my Farmer, but I guess I would have to say the old Boker that my grandfather used to carry. He gave it to me before he passed and if it was not for the fact I could never replace it I would carry it. As for the one I bought probably my Delica Wave. Got a steal on it $35 brand new at a fun show a while ago. Great thread by the way.

Thanks for the compliment, HAK! I'm enjoying all the thoughtful posts, guys. My intent was to get some rusty wheels turning...looks like it's working. *grin*

Gotta be my ML Alamo Bowie;

I have many knives that are far more valuable dollar-wise but the knife I value the most is a Case XX fixed blade skinner with leather handle my Dad sent me from Viet Nam back in 1965. For some reason I never used the knife - It's at least 46 yrs. old and still looks like it just came out the box.

Out of the 7 knives I have here at home ... Easy ... Demko Navajah.

My most valuable knife sentimental wise is the old cammillus TL-29 that was my grandpas. Most valuable to me meaning most carried used and abused has to be either my Mike Irie TS-5 spearpoint with black micarta handles and D2 steel with only one sharpened edge for fixed blade, and my Brian Tighe Nirk Tighe because It was my first custom and my 21st birthday gift to myself.

TacticalBlade,
You just added a new dimension to "value" in this thread, one I had not touched on in the initial post: "hardest working, confidence inspiring, most reliable tool, can't-get-through-the-day-without-it, she ain't pretty" value. Well done!

A Sodbuster that that belonged to my Grandfather that he gave me two weeks before he passed away and it stays in one of my Safes as I don't want to lose it.*

Not the most valuable, bu tsome of the most valued: Zackerty Pug and Serrata, and a Hankala large Tommi blade handled in DI by JM Saingery. DI handled Deli4 by Karel Koci

They are great user knives, but that's not the reason I treasure them. They are great people who made them

(ooh! also a Fontenille Pataud laguiole in 12C27, ebony and brass - one of the nearest things I have got to the ideal knife :))

I don't have a special sentimental blade, but if I had to pick something without regard to price, it would probably be my Spyderco Gayle Bradley. It's not the most comfortable or ergonomic of the bunch, but it slices like no other and holds an edge forever, and is both elegant and sturdy.

My Yuna Mini Hard 2. Hand-made goodness and flips like a dream for something without IKBS. Fits like a glove better than my XM-18 and seems to have about 3 1/2" of cutting edge for a 3" blade.

The Kershaw Volt. That knife is closer to being my ideal folder than any other knife in existence (next in line is the ZT Hinderer Flipper, but it doesn't exist yet), and there are less than 300 of them out there.
I'm glad I have two.

Isn't that one based on R.J. Martin's Overkill flipper? It did seem kind of similar, though I didn't do a side by side comparison.

Sentimental wise, it would have to be either my 1917 bolo with sheath or my 1918 Trench knife. Practical and money wise, definitely my XM-18.

either my sanmai damascus linerlock in malachite and mother of pearl from santa fe stoneworks or my 1944 kutmaster USCG from my grandpa, even though he was in the marines lol

I don't really have any sentimental knives, so my most valued knife is my John W Smith SD-3. Like Joshua J., the Kershaw Volt is only a step behind!:)
