What is your most valued knife?

Current : Himalayan Imports Sotang Gelbu in Aluminum handle
Soon : Custom Winkler Combat II Axe

What I like about the replies so far is the broad range of tastes and sensibilities. Very cool.

If I had to pick one knife to carry forever, it would be my Microtech LCC D/A Gen 2 that I've had for over 10 years. It has sentimental value, intrinsic collectible value, and usability/versatility value, as well.

Most valuable in cost would be my two dog paw Sebbies. They are "most valued" sentimentally as well. They have all my dogs' identity disks going back 55+ years on the lanyards and they'll be buried with me.

Most valued as users are my small micarta Sebbie and my two Izzulas.

my signature would be mine for the moment. a hefty 3/16 thick damascus. it feels great and i love just admiring it, but i love all my damascus and damasteel knives.

Probably my Microtech LCC manual that I managed to buy in new york a years ago. I've always liked Microtech knives, i was on the lookout for a Socom, no luck on that but I was lucky to get the LCC, there are probably not many of them in the UK.

P.S. good taste Daniel Dorn!

A old Kutmaster stockman holds the most value with me, it's the pocket knife my grandfather carried everyday. The most expensive knife would probably be my small sebenza with desert ironwood inlays.

My first real knife that I purchased in 2001, Cold Steel Gunsite II. I purchased it after attending my first Gunsite class for my CCW. Still have it, thought I lost it years ago but it was packed in a box when we moved.

The knives I inherited from my father. A few folders and fixed blades. These are mostly usin' knives, kept in great condition because that was the kind of man he was. Never needed to force a patina on his knives.

I've got plenty of purchased knives that cost more in dollars, but none that I "value" more than those.

Most valuable would be this custom by Chuck Gedraitis

Most valued would be this Case that was owned by both my Father and Grandfather

what are identity disks?

All of my knives are most valued that's why I don't sell them but if I had to chose it would be these two.

Buck 501 Eagle Scout knife my father got for me when I achieved the rank. It only comes out to open very important mail.

Gerber Guardian II with partially serrated blade on one side. I've never seen nor heard of one so think it's pretty special.

An old Western my mother bought me years ago. She found it in a second hand store. The only blade she's ever bought me.

Is anyone else out there enjoying the posts in this thread as much as I am? Every contribution here reads like a sentiment spun of pure gold.

Could be either the Case Trapper that my Grandfather gave me or the Case Peanut that my Father gave me. I have more expensive knives but none more valuable.
