What is your Perfect EDC Knife?

Today I agree with the OP. My Delica 4 FFG stonewashed is my favority edc. Tomorrow maybe a different story.

I'm just not sure if I will ever the one perfect knife. I continue to look and add knives thinking that this will be the one. Now that's not to say that the ones I have are not good, no, most of them may come as close as I ever find, so I'm happy with these, it's just that I continue to look and seek!

Right now I would have to say that my perfect EDC is the Bob Dozier Workhorse. It is big, thick, heavy, as solid as they come, and I love it!! I added a tip up pocket clip to it (had no pocket clip when I got it), a fold-over, deep carry clip, that lets the entire knife go down into my pocket.

I thought for sure the Scott Cook Lochsa was perfect....but this Large Ebony Sebenza is putting up a good fight, I believe that once it gets fitted with the Damascus blade it will take the cake!

The Startac Umnumzaan comes in a steady 3rd place.

All three are close to perfect for me.

Um, since you're not using your Lochsa anymore, and its been my grail ever since I first saw one...

As hard as I've tried, I can't keep my MiniGrip out of my RFP. Before that I carried a G2 Delica like Smaug posted (still have it, too!) for over 10 years - great knife!

So, Steel Addiction, about that Lochsa - money, trades, my wife? Well, I'd want some cash thrown in for my wife, but let's talk!

I have a carbon steel Opinel number 8 I carry it literally everyday. Its razor, will get back that way after dulled and will make a wicked spark on a fire steel. oh and the fact that it cost more for shipping than actually buying one is a great plus. 10 bucks shipped!

Perfect EDC has to be something you don't mind getting dirty. If you hesitate to whip it out to do a job, then it's no good for EDC. And I know that many Sebenza owners would not use their "EDC" knife to cut a dirty tarp cord, or open a lot of packing boxes and gum their blade up with sticky gunk. So the Delica is a great choice or something else you don't mind getting dirty.

Endura or Pacific Salt. I have other Spyderco flavors as well but in any event my EDC is always Spyderco. This comes after starting with an early Delica then going on a multi-year money no object quest for the perfect EDC, from Benchmade autos to high dollar customs. In the end I came back to Spyderco!

Oh, I'm really diggin those blue Para 2s. I have the very early Delica in blue, I reffered to as my "airport knife" as back then you could actually board a plane with one and the blue looked less menacing.

from some site. gerber bolt utility. i just fell in love with mine again. about as perfect a pocket carry as i can think of. the plastic is kind to one's pocket. the grip is far better than any framelock. and the blade! keep it dull and you can use it for prying or digging. sharpen it and it becomes a scary weapon. in a fight, it would be perfect in the edge-up grip that i'm used to.

i would also say my Delica 4 FFG. very light, peferct size, very nice blade and easy to maintain and it's priced right.

Def my lg Sebenza or my various para 2's will most likely be in my pocket with either a leatherman or a sak of somekind in the other.
