What is your Perfect EDC Knife?

definitely the spyderco military. I'm a lefty but have the right handed version, and its still my favorite edc. Just wait till i get a lefty one

Lately it has been these; Delica 4 FFG with a Case med stockman. I like the smaller knives, I don't seem to notice them as much in my pocket. And, they do everything I usually need.

Yellow Case Peanut

No matter what else I might carry, this one is always in my change pocket.

I tried for years to carry folders in 3.5" and 4" sizes...I never liked it, but I was stuck on the idea that it needed to be big.
Finally I realized that what I like to carry is a 3" blade knife that is fairly light and slim, but good quality.

Me too. Traded my Endura for a Delica even-up.

As far as pure EDC qualities go, I can't find much else to supplant this awesome folder:

I have a carbon steel Opinel number 8 I carry it literally everyday. Its razor, will get back that way after dulled and will make a wicked spark on a fire steel. oh and the fact that it cost more for shipping than actually buying one is a great plus. 10 bucks shipped!

I opened my knife drawer today and grabbed my opinel 7. What a great knife, it's a wicked slicer. I'll be carrying it for the next few days

My new favorite EDC is a PE Emerson 'Gentleman Jim'. (Stock photo of combo edge shown.)

One of my favorite edc's is a Delica 4 ffg zdp. I also have an str lowrider clip on it which made the knife so much nicer.
I like to carry all kinds of different knives, and try all sorts of steels and knives. But really as a pure edc the Delica 4 is great.

Delica 4 ffg in grey and Vantage pro are in constant rotation, combined with a Vic Cadet. Usually I've got a lost Vic classic somewgere on me. Be it in my backpack, on my keys... It hangs out sòmewhere.

I have three of them Spyderco original C83 Persian and Caly3.5. I carry Persian every day since August 2006. Started to carry Caly3 a month later, with was replaced with Caly3.5 in 2010. I tried 5-6 other knives, which I liked, to bring to EDC service, but all of the retired fairly fast.

I have not found my perfect EDC yet, but in some ways the fun is in the search.

The photo shows a progress of some of my EDC knives over a 40 year period. Based on this what I would like would be about a 3.25" blade, a pronounced point, G10 scales or textured aluminum for grip, thumb stud, liner lock or axis lock, and tip down pocket clip. My mini-AFCK and Leek are pretty close, but I'm sure I'll be buying more in the future.

I couldn't figure out how to add a picture from my saved pics in my phone but my EDC for many years has been a Victorinox Alox Pioneer SAK. I have tried many others but I find a Tactical knife is too much knife, yet a multi-tool is too much tool. My trusty SAK has the perfect size blade and a few handy tools. I am an office worker, and I am not a handy guy. I use my knife to open envelopes, removing slivers, slicing apples, removing screws, opening battery panels on toys, pulling screws out of walls, and cutting strings or opening packages. Even a small tac knife with a smaller blade isn't right for me because I like the screwdrivers. A multi-tool is just too much. So for me a SAK is perfect.

I have a bunch that I can call perfect for me, but a couple that just fit my needs, hand and eye are:
BM 940 & 943 with DOAT scales.
Para 2 with Putman scales.
Millie with Put am scales.
Pro Tech TR-3 Ti manual.
Hard to find any negatives with any of these.

Two, Endura wave for larger cutting tasks (which I have no idea what that would be) or self defense (not that I plan on using a knife for self defense), opening beers !. And Dragonfly Salt Se small size yet full hand grip, great blade shape, i have not found a cutting task that I needed a bigger blade for. The SE goes through anything and for its size is superior to plain edge.

I pretty much carry my perfect EDC knife; it has a stellite blade, frame lock, and is smooooth. It is my Seasus knives Cracked Uber. And I have carried it since it has arrived, which has been 4 years.
