What is your plan for the end times?

oh and conex rox

I plan on being long dead by the end of the world. Also, the end is the end no matter how you prep.

Now if we're talking about emergencies like flood, earthquake, etc. My plan is to be as light and fast as possible with a huge knowledge base.

Almost forgot, not to pick your plan apart, but you'll be alot better off in a bad situation looking like a redneck than you would looking like a merc.

Be the grey man, blend in and don't draw attention to yourself. Keep your guns out of sight until the last possible minute.
I agree with this. I guess I have all the gear to try and get me & the family to our in-laws who live on a farm about 30 miles away. I know enough to stay off the roads, so I plan to hoof it, and hold up there with the family. I plan to have enough food & supplies to make the trek. If we can't find water, I'll be hitting up hot water heaters etc... to re-plenish our water supply.

I am my own pickup. Highways will be jammed, the fastest way to get across country will be by offroad vehicle such as 4 wheelers, mountain bikes, dirt bikes, backcountry skis, snowmobiles, etc etc etc. Unfortunately most of these vehicles need gas and none of them can pack alot of gear. Which leaves your own two feet. Boise sits in a Yellowstone caldera, so my plan is to book north on foot through the backcountry and put as much distance between me and the volcano, and all the air force bases in the area. I have three or four 'haven' spots picked out in the wilderness areas in northern Idaho, so I'm grabbing two versipack jumbos and my Eberle Operator and running for the hills. I have two good sized spare bugout bags for friends/family as well. My goal is to have 3-4 set up by the end of the summer, packed with an allaround general kit supplying basic necessities, plus a specialization for each one-first aid/hygeine, shelter/tools, food prep/harvesting, survival literature, etc etc.

Well, pretty much, I'm not going to be here. Or maybe I will be, depending on if you're in the pre-trib rapture or post-trib millenium camp, or amillenialist. I think I'm a post-trib guy, by what the NT says throughout.

If we are still here, Imma be the one who assassinates the Antichrist, only to have him come back from the dead.

the big thing you have to worry about when evading the government is helicopters- lots of linger time and even the most basic infrared technology can make you stick out of a canyon or thick woods like a sore thumb. Trying to come up with ways to regulate surface temperature so my hovel and my self aren't easily spotted by routine flyovers.

1 thessalonians 5:9: "for god did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our lord jesus christ."

1 thessalonians 4:16 "for the lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of god, and the dead in christ will rise first."

1 thessalonians 4:17: "after that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air. And so we will be with the lord forever."

that's my plan of attack! :d

+1

very well put sir:thumbup::thumbup:

2012 is going to be a bigger let down than 2000 was. I can't wait to hear the backpedaling when were not all dead.

People should look up how many times the Earth was supposed to get wrecked and didn't. Quite sad that fools keep falling for the same, tired predictions.
But it IS fun to prepare for something which will never happen; at least you're all stocked up on food and ammo.

well its an interesting subject. me and my family will be staying put, plenty of land to plant, already have the livestock and cooperative neighborhood and friend network.

plenty of weapons and loading equipment for all. got the offroad transport locked down with or without gas, although i have storage provisions for that as well.

the only thing i really need to improve is my well, i've got parts of a windmill here and there need to do some work so i could put it up and have the water back pretty easily. we would revert fairly quickly to a preauto lifestyle. oh and wifes a nurse with 28yrs experiance in the military. so medical is fairly taken care of as well.

so i think we are pretty much set, our stuff could certainly be taken by a large group of bad guys or zombies but outside of that we would be good, and ready to welcome helpful friends.

If you don't already live rurally , and i mean a long way from cities, and don't already have a garden in a moderate climate, with water near by and don't already know about living off the land to some degree you can kiss your *ss goodby!!!,,,, That is if some global disaster happens. Even then the chances are low that you'll survive. Me , i don't much pay attention to all the scare media. People can prepare for temporary disasters but cities will be hard hit no matter what. And pandemic. Yup, sooner or later and it won't matter where you are. I think your much better off finding meaning in your life NOW, with the people you care about and let go of all the small Sh*t.

I've been thinking a bit about my prep plands and I decided to do a slight revision.

It went from what I posted above to "Get my ass to Dave's house."

I think the likelyhood of the end of the world is less likely than the fall of a countries society....so this i what i plan for...end of the world equals we are all f**ked anyway...breakdown of gov. is very likely...and something i beleave will happen in my lifetime...My number one priority is education.....this is the key...prep all you want but if you can't use you preps and keep them secure you are screwed...Drew

and that is one of the best plans, to coordinate with like minded folks, group together for strength and shared abilities.

one of the most important stratagies is to network and have a destination in mind where you will be expected and welcome.

farmed most of my life so plenty of experiance and equipment including horse drawn.

so come ahead your welcome.

I am not afraid of anything and will live for today since life is too short as it is.
