What is your toughest, most durable blade you own?

Alit if those pics of hard use knives show pristine knives lol

Of course, when knives are new, we love pics.

But, I knew how pristine knives bothered you, so I used a few, for a few years, just to appease you.

Some of them get a bit scratched, even if they are shiny.

Sometimes they get more than scratched.

I second the motion. We MUST know how that happened; you owe us an explanation.

Oh, don't worry..... The knife did not break on it's own.

It was shot...... With an AP .50 BMG round..... From the side....

Also, I did not shoot it.

It came like that as part of a killer deal. I bought a BAD, with sheath, and that knife and the AZ sheath. Basically got the killed BWM and sheath for free.

I intended to try and make a folder out of the pieces, but never got around to itm I sold the sheath, and eventually moved the pieces on for some one to do a project with!

If I remember correctly, the shooter had some sort of argument with another few members here, and made an expensive statement.

I think I remember seeing a video of the deed.

People were pretty sad he killed such a nice knife.

Busse would probably even cover that with their warranty

The pic was taken when it was new. Becker BK2, 1/4" blade is nearly indestructible. I watched a YouTube video that the guy cut a piece of 1/2" aluminum bar in 2 with it and a maul. An absolute brute of a knife.

I would have to say this FK is the toughest and most durable. I haven't used the D3v version much yet, but this one has done a lot of work and gets carried daily.

I have a Trc urban tactical in vanadis 4 extra with dlc coating that is one tough piece of steel . Every thing about this knife is solid !

I love my FK too. Yours is much more used than mine and still looks so beautiful!

Is it tougher than your Survive! Knives? Or equal too?

I'd say they're fairly equal edge retention wise. The FK's longer handle and thumb ramp pushed the old spec 4.1 out of rotation.

If I remember correctly, they tried, and he refused, because it was an intentional destruction. He said he absolutely knew the AP round from the side would destroy it, and he did not want to abuse their warranty. It he had shot it edge on, with a non AP round it would likely have survived.

I like busse, they do have some downsides though (as all companies), but it is impossible to argue against them having the best warranty available, the best warranty possible. If I recall correctly, they have actually never, ever refused to fix or replace a broken blade, no matter the cause or situation. Remarkable

I haven't done a ton with this one yet, but I think it'll be tough to damage, (.50 cal AP rounds aside).

While I don't currently have an A1 I thought this is about the toughest knife I've seen thus far. It seems like even though it's delaminating the steel it still held together. That is one tough azz knife and there are more parts of the test as well. I'm thinking only a laminated type blade could take this type of abuse and still be going strong without breaking.
