What is your toughest, most durable blade you own?

I know people like to hate on Extrema Ratio around here...and especially the RAO folder. Someone recently posted about how it was a weak design because in a YouTube torture test the lock failed after applying "only" 750 pounds of pressure whereas a competitor's lock held a full 800 pounds.

Well, it's the strongest folder I've ever owned. Even if the bladeforums brain trust will dismiss it as insufficiently "overbuilt," I'm not really worried about the lock closing on me.

I'm a big guy with giant hands. The RAO fits me very well. And it's a surprisingly good slicer for something with such thick blade stock and relatively chunky edge. That was unexpected.

I haven't really started beating on it yet, but I'll carry it in the woods this spring.

My old Ranger RD-9. Pic is about 10 years old, but it still looks the same, except for the addition of lots of scratches. :D This was actually my first really big fixed blade, bought from Justin before he sold Ranger Knives to Ontario. I had him make this one sans black coating and with a FFG blade. All for the meager sum of $140 (which was a lot to me at the time :D).

This toy came in about a month ago and I still haven't had time to whack wood with it. And I don't know if you can even call it a knife. It feels like some type of bastardized knife/hatchet mixture.

The lock sucks, its the pin that saves it, not the lock.

Ok, the RAO is not the strongest and it is uggly, but mine is strong enough for chopping wood, batonning, digging... who need to hold 750 pounds on his knife? But, just in case, there is a safety pin :D

Cattaruagus 225Q and Glock 81. Tough knives, yes, but great slicers they are not.

Another tough one, but I sold it unused. CRK GB 5.5"

For fixed blade I was used to have a Becker bk2 but it was definitively too big and too heavy for my use
I have now an ESEE 4 maybe on the small side this time but very tough nevertheless

For folders, I usually take my ZT0350 when I think I may have some hard tasks to handle
My Emerson horseman will come as a close second

Another tough one. Benchmade Nimvirus. I gave it away carried but unused. Seems when deploy to Iraq everyone thinks they need to give you a knife.

Lord knows I've talked myself out of a Glock more than once...........then I see one again, lol.

This is such an easy question to answer! If I happen to miss with the sharp end, all I need to do is smack you with the spine! A Fat NMFSH .375 thick blade!!! Have 2 and I wouldn't let one go for 3-times what I gave for them! KennyD

So far my Griptillian with D2 steel. Batoned the crap out of it by accident with a metal hammer and the blade is not deformed. Not saying its the strongest blade out there but its the strongest one I own.
