I love Shiro’s! One thing I really love about them is how strong they make there detents! I HATE the feeling of a week detent. My grail is a flipper from Shirogorov. Would be hard to decide which model.
More photos! Yay!It changes everyday..
This. On the other hand if your trail is a production knife your odds of owning one go up a lot I guess. Mine are in (in the obtanium range a Big Nearly J by Peter Marzitelli. He only made a few but they are out there. In the unobtanium range is the Warenski King Tut. I'm unlikely to ever even see it in person.I'm always surprised at these threads when people list various production knives that anyone can simply order.
I remember a WIP thread over several months when Kyle Royer made a one of a kind clamshell Bowie for another member. Something like that would be pretty special.

It's always so frustrating when that one piece eludes you. Sounds like a fabulous collection!A ZT0777.
Not really a "grail" knife for me but it's the most expensive of the few ZTs remaining that I need to complete my ZT collection.
It's not that I don't have the $ to buy one. It's just that I don't want to spend the $ people are asking for them. And it's actually more readily available than the other less costly ZTs that I'm still looking for.
Lol, just clicked onto this movie because I rememberd the SLOTH scene (psh, American horror...) but I DO love Morgan Freeman and that style of wood is just

It's moreso the STYLE of wood on things. I'm sorry, but no Chris Reeve wood but a couple looks good to me. I like deep, dark, red or red-stained woods, or cream colored things such as the switchblade in comment replied to above.
Indeed, that's the other thing - I can't always differentiate materials. I know what I'm looking for when I see it, though.I believe the scales on the switchblade are made of stag antler, not wood.
