What kind of folder do you carry?

Just got this back from WValtakis WValtakis

Chip made it look factory, opening up the hole so I could get my thumb in there. Now I can use it one handed.

Man I wish I could get a hold of a TRM Atom, especially the ti version.
At one point a few months back, I think I had 2 or 3 of them. I finally felt comfortable not needing a backup and sold off my extras. I don't think they are all that hard to get if you give it the old college try. In fact, TRM had a bunch available FS just this evening for about 4 minutes. The Ti Atom should become available for some short period of time this December. If you don't score one though, keep in mind the fact that it is going to be a regular production knife for them and it's likely just a matter of time before you score.

Anybody own a North Arm Skaha and if so how do you like it?

I just pulled the trigger on one after a 22 month long wait list. I am a little more excited now that they grind the main bevel on the blade vs the milling groves on the old blades.

I should have it by mid to end of December and will update my thoughts then.

this D2 doesn't seem super hard to me. My thought is 75hrc ceramic might dig a trough and create more surface area to rub against. I recall Bing having some issues, although I don't remember the exact details
Let me know how it works out, inquiring minds need to know!

I've never actually seen that happen, and I've got some OLD folders with ceramic balls and probably millions of cycles...but that's just me.

I actually just popped the steel ball out and rotated it off the flat spot, then dialed in the action some more with the depth as I pressed it back in....I think I'm gonna call it good at this point...it's REALLY smoooooooth and still crisp:cool:

Oh, and it kept wadding up on the thick hem of my work pants...fixed:D
