What kind of folder do you carry?

Man, you gotta start telling us what your knives are and a little bit about them and why you dig 'em! You post some very nice looking knives, but without anything more, they are just nice to look at.

I like that top swayback.
Hello,
Thanks very much.
Apart from a GEC, my other knives are mostly French and craft knives apart from a few industrial or semi-industrial ones.

The first one is a Trestle Pine Knives "Superior" folder with burnt stag handle, wharncliffe blade CPM154 Steel
The second is a swayback slipjoint by Cosimo De Benedetto. burr walnut handle, 7cm O1 carbon steel blade.

Newly acquired Benchmade Bugout. My first Benchmade and I’m liking it a lot so far.

Excellent choice!
I put mine in orange g10 handles for a little flair. I almost never buy coated blades but picked this one up with the understanding that if it gets wrecked that I’d just live with it
After months of using it without worry for the chromium nitride coating I can say that it’s the best blade coating I’ve ever used. I’ve used this knife for everything and there isn’t a single mark in it. I’ve had several marks on it that I thought had scratched it but all of them were later cleaned off with a little oil.

After your love of the bugout grows even more, check out the bailout, it too is excellent.

No way!? I imagined it to be a pretty resilient coating, but it’s great to hear from someone with firsthand experience. Thanks for sharing.

...Off to check out the Bailout now lol.

If you grab a Bailout check out the aluminum handled version with the M4 blade. I’ve carried a CRK pretty exclusively for about 15 years and those two Benchmade’s are the only knives that really spend a lot of time in my pocket outside the CRK’s.
Also look at the Rock Scale Design backspacer for the bailout to replace that hideous lanyard loop. I bought the geared titanium version and it was worth every penny

Noted. Thanks!

Looking forward to pics.

Here are some pics of the Bailout and Bugout. 37E88D16-1333-4F82-B2D7-5DFB0792EE82.jpeg D9B8C32C-C64C-4AA1-A103-1C5F1EA1A911.jpeg 96DC9023-66AC-4AE7-96FA-CAA4D85EE4F3.jpeg 25FA43F2-4BEA-44E7-A06D-EEFD5458CA0B.jpeg 3E9A2698-8E60-4FBF-AC16-A3D652D1687A.jpeg 42D2A84C-4C0D-4503-82C2-6C70816F44BD.jpeg 62E927EE-F68D-4DE7-AD85-BFBE2954AAF0.jpeg

The Bugout coating is extremely durable, I use this knife a lot. I don’t baby it, I use it to break down boxes, make kindling, cut zip ties, etc. I couldn’t be more happy with the Chromium Nitride coating.
I use the Bailout the same but I do it ever so slightly more gently as I’m still trying to figure out if the Cerakote is as durable and id like to keep this one somewhat pretty. Only thing holding me back on the Cerakote is that my only experience with it is on a Sig pistol and it has worn through in spots.
I put the RSD backspacer on the bailout to remove the large and ugly lanyard loop, I think it balances out the look of the knife very nicely. I also put on the Grayish Chromium Nitrided clip from the Bugout, like yours, to match the blade on the Bailout. I also think it looks better than the black and resists getting scratched up better.

Beautiful Benchmades, 1AbominAble1 1AbominAble1 ! I REALLY like those orange scales on your Bugout.

I prefer the look of the Bailout with the mods you’ve done to yours. It looks great!

Had my Bugout on me today, put it to use a little, and didn’t even notice it in my pocket. I can definitely see me becoming attached to this thing...

Thanks a lot for sharing.
