My soldering iron wasn’t hot enough, I think. Ended up drilling the pivot screw out. It was quite a struggle. The washers turned out to be a mess, too, so I’m waiting on a replacement pair to finish reassembly. In the meantime, I can at least see what the finished build will look like. The micarta is nice. It feels almost like a different knife.​
 
I’ve been on a Cold Steel kick. Snagging some of their large folders since I heard Lynn Thompson sold the company. This 5.5” Tanto carries, and deploys amazingly well. I got a Voyager Kris on the way too. :thumbsup::)
