What kind of folder do you carry?

One of the all-time great knife designs and that’s a very nice version of it!

I met McHenry & Williams years ago when they were first introducing the lock to Benchmade. Les de Asis introduced me.

I ended up with one prototype eventually and one in M2. Great design.

I don't mean one of the "original" prototypes from McHenry & Williams. I mean the prototypes that were available for sale by Benchmade to anybody who could find one through their dealers.

It was the M2 version that I wanted more than the prototype, both of which I bought from a local dealer in Miami.

I still have both.

Second and third knives from the top in this old image of some of my Benchmade knives. I guess they were called "Pre-Production" (and numbered) rather than prototypes...as seen (not very clearly) in the image. In any case...that's what I've got. Three of the knives are no longer in the collection. The balisong was sold and the "Leopard Cub" and "Dark Star" were given away as gifts.
