I just hope that when Nathan comes out with his version of an EDC folder he makes it easy to carry. Daniel Fairly made this as his indestructible folder but at almost 7 1/2 ounces you have to have suspenders to carry all day.View attachment 2733597View attachment 2733598
I suspect that heft will always be tied into an indestructible folder. If you can only carry a folder- CPK folder
If no restrictions - a CPK EDC 1.2(taking the scales off , getting a kydex sheath made and wrapping some thick rubber bands or grip tape on the handle for traction, makes it disappear in pocket) and a slimmer folder for easy jobs
If what I recall reading is correct, Nathan at one point said the folder would have D3V scales/slabs. My only fear is that if that’s true, it will weigh quite a lot.On the “indestructible must be beefy” tack; the only pocket knife I wasn’t too bummed about losing, was the ZT0300. 8.6oz EDC brick.
Didn’t have it very long before it somehow disappeared from my pocket (surprised I didn’t notice the lack of a cinder block falling out of the pocket).
I still chuckle when I see people lauding the 0300 and 0350. Definition of sharpened pry bars. They don’t cut very well at all. I have numerous other ZT knives, and they’re all better functional knives than the 0300.
I don't think Nathan would make a overly heavy folderIf what I recall reading is correct, Nathan at one point said the folder would have D3V scales/slabs. My only fear is that if that’s true, it will weigh quite a lot.
Oh, I’m sure he could mill the shit out of it to save weight. But all that machine time and cutters costs money. I’m justI don't think Nathan would make a overly heavy folder
I think it will have some weight but fantastic balance
I think he might be a machinist .....those guys can mill anything (pockets in pockets in pockets to make things lighter)lol
Agreed!Oh, I’m sure he could mill the shit out of it to save weight. But all that machine time and cutters costs money. I’m justit will not be too $$$ or weigh a lot.

Well, we have shared a lot of years together here, and history.
I don't think that every knife necessarily needs one...mostly the ones where it's not cleaned up sufficiently to pass muster. For me, it's an issue with the SHFs I've otherwise admired and could have seen myself owning.
On the other hand, if the knife is pretty much amateurish in most other respects, (not meant in a derisive manner), then it's less of an issue altogether and it wouldn't detract like a blemish on something otherwise nigh on perfect.
That's a beaut bro!!!!940-1

Was a 940-2. Everything is aftermarket except for the internal frame and axis lock

Yeah I sure did lol. A backspacer is not supposed to work with this reblade. I know Josh talks about them not working with the 940’s with the factory backspacers. Definitely took a chance here. I thought I was going to have to take a Dremel to it, I was actually surprised when it did fit, SCORE!Took a chance on the REK fitting with the back spacer. Score!![]()
