What kind of folder do you carry?

Most of Tactile's pieces are too small for me, but the Mariner did catch my eye. They are a good group of folks and make some great stuff!
 
Speaking of bigger stuff, I took these before Christmas and didn't have time to post.

Medford deserves a little more exposure here, especially for their larger folders, but my biggest pocketable is the Extrema Ratio RAO II that I put a clip on. It has an 18 degree primary edge with a 20 degree micro-bevel, I also polished the action on it so it's buttery smooth.

For the OG's out there the clip I used has been in my parts drawer for at least 20 years and is from one of Masters Of Defense's folders.

Teardown Tuesday, checking out this ADDICTIVE Camillus "HEAT" 🔥...these were a Hawk Knives collaboration that came out about a decade ago with a wild button actuated "Robo Quick Launch" mechanism😎

I’ve given up on the finding just the “1” folding knife I could live with for the rest of my life. So new years resultion is to find my “Just 7 folding knives”, one for each day, I could live with for the rest of my life.

Just received the #3 spot today. A Spartan. Wanted one of these for a long time and the action on this one is excellent.

So my plan is to try and only have 1 folding knife from 1 company. I could possibly have 2 from same company as long as total number of my favorites doesn’t go over 7. If I find a new model or step up $ wise to a different company 1 of the others will have to go.

Posting my favorite three for the last of the year 2024.

If you think the action is good now, opening the hood and cleaning out the factory grease and relubing with your preferred lube will take it even further. 😁

That’s way too complex.. and why seven?.. odd numbers are so troubling 😁
