What kind of folder do you carry?

Here he is as a pup when he was named lol. At least he kinda grew in to them 🤣.

He can hear really, really, well, and can also pick up satellite radio with them too 😊

Sneaky Saturday, been doing yard work this weekend so a knife named "work" seemed appropriate😂 Grabbed this old school Butch Vallotton Dual Action conversion of the iconic Chris Reeve "Sebenza"😎

Got my 2024 Forum knife in. I’m so stoked. I didn’t request a serial #, but I regretted not asking for 264 (the rifle guys here will know). I opened it up and had to do a triple take and said “are you shit-ing me”? Pretty nice welcome surprise and pretty unbelievable to receive this serial #!

It is definitely BIG, much larger than I could have anticipated ! Pretty dang sweet overall and pretty smooth. Along with a new hank that they custom made for me in his periodic line.

Here's a piece from Rick (RE) Browne that I've owned around 25 years. It has a long storied past with a couple of "rebirth's" along the way.

To start, Rick has to be one of the most underrated slip joint makers in history. Those who know his work know, know his work. Pure man jewelry and near perfection. The spines on them alone are works of art. This one has been carried and used a lot over the last 25 so there's some wear difference between the soft liners and hardened spring, but when it was new the springs were nearly imperceptible from the liners, and lie perfectly in open or closed blade positions.

After a few years of carry the original bone scales developed a stress crack at one of the pins. It wasn't going anywhere but I reached out to Rick to see if he'd change them out for some antique butterscotch Micarta I had. I bought the material from Koval knives in the 90's and at the time he told me it was from Westinghouse in the early 40's. Back then that didn't mean as much as it does now, but it was still pretty cool stuff. Rick agreed and a few weeks later I had the knife back.

Fast forward to 2018, and my first time attending Blade not only as an exhibitor but also an attendee. The guy that sat behind me in my row was great to share space with and also a master engraver. For the life of me I can't remember his name, but he had all of his equipment with him and I had this knife in my pocket so I told him to have at it. I think he charged me $150, by the end of Saturday it was finished.

At 3.5" long with almost 2.75" blades it's the goldilocks size slip joint for me and has always served as backup to a larger tactical folder or a fixed blade. It disappears in the pocket right alongside the Carmex.
