Thanks! My dad had one when I was growing up and i always admired it. He still has it, just doesn't use it. I found mine on ebay and had to have it. They really dont make them like they used to, it's the perfect little Trapper built for use.Sweet aluminum scaled Cutco, I forget the model name of these 2 bladed knives but I still see guys carrying and using these around Olean, just fished one out of my father in laws toolbox not long ago! I have a Cutco Bullwhip which is the aluminum version of the Remington 1306 lockback.
You know the name of it by chance? I love that handle, and no matter what words I put in I get aluminum handle cutco kitchen knives. Thanks! I see various sources referring to it as the Cutco 1884 folding knife. Evidently there's also an 1882 lockback model and an 1885 muskrat pattern. You know the name of it by chance? I love that handle, and no matter what words I put in I get aluminum handle cutco kitchen knives.

Indeed. I think the 1884 came with a sheath by default; I know my dad's did. Many sheaths have now been lost to time, so you'll still find some around but they aren't ubiquitous any more. That’s probably why the name was escaping me, some of these just had model numbers but the Bullwhip has the name etched on the blade, just another weird thing a knife company did I guess! Some of the knives came with a leather sheath too.
Hell Yeah! That's exactly the info i needed. Getting better results now.I see various sources referring to it as the Cutco 1884 folding knife. Evidently there's also an 1882 lockback model and an 1885 muskrat pattern.
That thing is cool. Reminds me of the sneaky quality that bolster lock auto's like the Whisker's Magic have.Sneaky SaturD/A, checking out this sweet Matt Diskin "Wheel" Dual Action

Whew… that was close…Got my (really) old Spyderco Police out today for a trip to the park. A guy stabbed a family to death at the hiking trail down the road like a month ago or so. I swear people keep me in a "wish a mf'r would" mentality. Anywho, have a great day fellas and felletes.
