My grand daughter Raini started walking recently. Thus, a railing system was needed for our back deck. The project is nearing completion and it was an excellent opportunity to try out a 15v PM2.

The great and kind carnifex knifeworks carnifex knifeworks loaned me the Spyderco simply because I’ve never used 15v. Wow !!! It has held up very well throughout the deck project and out working on power lines. Appreciate ya brother !

Great looking railing. Not that you asked for my opinion…..but why not have the furniture against the house facing out into the yard?

Thank you and good point. We’re having a birthday bash and watching the Hawks demolish the 9ers on the 7th. Momma wants to put a TV out for the game.

(I’m still strategizing over convincing her to swap the furniture after that….😎)

Glad you're enjoying it! Thanks for the update! Love to hear more of your thoughts on it!

I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea though. I'm not great or kind; I'm actually a blunt, opinionated, abrasive prick....or so I'm told, something like that.... I wasn't really listening.

I can be helpful though, so that's got to count for something! 😆

Thoughts……initially, I was a bit wary due to reading that it can be a chippy blade steel. Like we discussed, I gave it a touch up on the Edge Pro and strop before using. That “clean slate” was around a month ago with regular use since.

I’ve cut cardboard (many times), rope, twine, electrical tape, and wood with it since. It still has a crisp working edge and no sign of chipping. I’ll beat on it for another week or two and then send her back to daddy sharpened (if it even needs it). 👍🏼

That's pretty much been my experience as well. The BBB heat treat paired with this steel is a nice combo
