Personally I though the internal jeweling was a nice touch. It’s a great pattern for a mammoth tusk.

I carry an EDC2 most of the time. When I carry a folder, it is usually a Spyderco PM2 in camo G10 and S30V steel, like this one:




or a GEC Harness Jack in cocobolo and 1095 steel, like this one:

I have two of those little buggers in different flavors. I think they’re great watch pocket knives. Attractive, well-made, thin cutting edge, and the leather sheaths are a great size for carrying a medium-sized Bali as well.
