What kind of folders do Beckerheads carry...or do they carry them?

Let's play the acronym game:

My EDC is a FFG Spyderco D4 in VG10 with G10 scales.

I also usually have a leatherman wave in my bag and either a BHK tiger knapp or BK11 around my neck.

2 knives a gun and a multitool. Sounds about right to me.

I ONLY carry the DPx HEST/F.

Oh... waitasecond...

:o

:D

Seriously, I carry a Case Peanut most of the time. Spyderco Caly III with fair frequency. Spyderco Para once in a while.

What is the deal with that by the way? I can't really seem to figure it out.

I carry an Emerson 15 but prefer the 7A which I don't have. I've tried Hinderer, Strider and Chris Reeve. They are all no doubt nicer than the Emerson. They just aren't nicer for the money.

I had a few ZT 0551s recently and they are alot of knife for the money. But, in the end...I'm kinda cheap/frugal/broke, lol. So again, Emerson.

When the ESEE or HEST folders come out they will be worth a try.

EDC: Benchmade 950 Rift.
Work (Summer times in a warehouse, opening crates, boxing stuff up): Cold Steel AK-47
Airsoft: Buck/TOPS CSAR T
Dress: Kershaw Scallion

A classy but tough knife (With my nickname engraved on it!) for EDC, a really tough folder with a pommel I use for opening crates and breaking things during remodeling for work, another heavy duty tough folder with a MOLLE pouch for airsoft, and for dress a little spring assisted blade. I feel all these knives serve me really well.

Spyderco FFG Delica in safety Purple. I wanted the blue but couldn't find one when I bought it. I wanted a 'fun' color so people wouldn't freak out. I'd rather get, 'Hey, that's cute' while I'm at work than people runnin' the other way when I open the mail.

Kershaw Skyline, USA Old Timer small stockman, and Leatherman Kick are on me 99% of my waking hours. Sometimes I also carry a larger folder like my Kershaw JYD II, but most times if I need a larger blade, I grab a fixed blade.

Ya my Leatherman is in one of my packs. I went through a bunch of Kershaws a while back. Kind if liked the assisted Blur and JYD2.

For a while there I was going to get all the funky Endura colors, but hell, they are all still the same knife............... :D

I like my KaBar Dozier Folding Hunter ...

... and my Vic Huntsman ...

Both are quite effective vs. apples and every day tasks.

I carry several folders, daily. Mainly because I like to have redundancy, and multiple tools. If I did that all in one knife, it would be a pain to carry. So....

Victorinox Alox Soldier
Vic Alox Classic
Vic Waiter

And a SOG Flash II, about 7 times out of 10. Sometimes I'll substitute a Benchmade of some sort for the SOG (most of the time that BM is a Barrage). I'm into assisted openers lately.

FFG FG G10 Delica is the way to go!

Mine changes a lot. As of late though it has been either a Case CV Swayback Jack or Queen Dan Burke Small Barlow. I also have a midnight mini champ on my keys. Oh yeah for the last week or so I have been neck carrying a Fiddleback Bow Logged Joe I got in a giveaway.

These are the pocket knives. I always have two, one in each back pocket. They are a
- Benchmade Griptillian
- Benchmade Rift

and I have been carrying the Diaz frogleg often.

Re: the Cowboy Killer logo. I'm not an endorser. It's just the only way that particular Victorinox was offered--as part of an endorsement offer. Frankly, the Victorinox and Marlboro union kind of surprises me. There are several other Victorinox/Marlboro models that were made, but the Outdoorsman is the one I like as far as the tools. To add, I hate smoking too. Both my parents smoked; my mom still suffers from it. But the logo itself doesn't haunt me too much. I've read that the logo will come off pretty easily if you like the knife but not the symbol.

Rub it with a sugar cube. Dry sugar cube.
