What kind of folders do Beckerheads carry...or do they carry them?

I have to say, this thread has pushed me back into re evaluating my folders. I quit carrying them several months ago and EDC my BK14. I couldn't have been happier. Today, I took a couple of my folders to work, and gave them the spa treatment. I'm was also looking at picking up a new or old Spyderco Endura or Delica as well. One of my guys at work, has my old Endura FRN, and I was seriously thinking about doing some swapping. We didn't, but I will admit, it felt good in the hand.

As I'm typing this, I have my CS Recon1 Tanto sitting here, lookin' like new money, and begging for a strip job and high polish. If I didn't have so many sheaths to cut and stitch, that's probably what I would be doing right now. Still want thos Spydies though, TO THE EXCHANGE!!!

Just picked this up. Really nice knife. If you want a big folder at a reasonable price. This is it. Kershaw Cyclone. $35.

And for $50, the Buck Vantage Pro in the above pic is a heck of a knife. S30V
blade. G10 handles. Buck lifetime Warr.

These two have been rotating as EDC folder.

Been looking at the Spydy Military lately. Not a big Spyderco guy, but that one's growing on me.

I really like the looks of that Kershaw Cyclone.

It is a nice lookin' knife isn't it. I thought the same thing first time I saw it.

Big too. But not too thick. Carries well. Locks up tight. Sharp as h3ll.

Cann't got wrong for the money.

I'm with Cobra, the Buck Vantage Pro is a heck of a knife for the price. I rotate other Buck's in my EDC but this has seen the most pocket time for me lately. Thin in the pocket, smooth action and a great slicer:thumbup:

Can't get another big one, someone would kill me since they got me this:

(Not my pic BTW, but the knife I have been carrying. I like it. :D )

I have been carrying a leather man since 1995 if I don't have it on my belt it's because I'm on a airplane. Seriously I had a leatherman on my belt at the courthouse when I got married. Other than that I carry a large folder I love my bm skirmish large it rockwells at 61 (tested on a diamond Rockwell tester at the machine shop I worked at) and has been batoned without so much as a wiggle IMHO strongest folder I've ever touched. It was my edc for three years and now is on partime duty. I work outside so I edc a fixed blade almost every day so now I carry one of three bm griptilians and a leatherman surge and bk14 or bk7mod.

Since I didn't post pictures when I first answered.

Buck Vantage Pro
Kershaw Leek
Kabar Phat Bob

I carry a Leatherman Charge on the weekends along with an Izula. Most of my knives are folders, though I don't really carry them. I carry a SAK Classic daily though if that counts. If I could just carry my bk7 every day and everywhere, I'd be the happiest sob out there.

Well since losing my Spyderco Delica at work two weeks ago I picked up a Leatherman Skeletool. My first Leatherman.

I got a CS American Lawman for my birthday. I'll be honest, my Recon 1 for the money, is one tough ass folder. I wish it was made in America, but at least it was a gift, and I didn't have to buy it. Seems like a good tough folder though.

Been carrying a Kershaw Blur Straight Edge for about a year now. Its been a fantastic knife, I love the assisted opening. One of these days I would like to find another decent folder to put into the EDC rotation...

I rotate through several knives throughout the week; Sebenza, Benchmade AFO II, Camillus Dominator, Strider SNG, Large Benchmade Bone Collector to name several.

For a couple years it was a CRKT M16-EDC with a slightly modified tip to make it a legal 3".
Then I switched to a Boker Hyper (2.75"). The handle is shorter, but taller (spine to "edge") and gives great control while carrying REALLY well.

I like well-designed but affordably replaceable folders for EDC.
The Kershaw skyline is attractive, but I haven't held one.

I am not a Beckhead, But I figured I would put in my .02 worth. My list of EDC's Are as follows:

Spiderco Military
Spiderco Spiderhawk
Cold Steel Voyager
SOG Powerlock
LED Flashlight

Spyderco Military
Benchmade 812
SAK Pioneer
SAK Executive
Spyderco Calypso
Buck 112
Buck 110

It all depends upon where and for what purpose I may need the folder.

Regards,
FK

Lately I've been rotating through some of the following:

Case CV medium stockman
Victorinox SAK: Spartan (currently missing :( )
Opinel No.6 carbon
GEC Tidioute single blade scout
Benchmade mini Griptilian
Spyderco Salsa
Case Sodbuster Jr.

Can't usually EDC anything too large as CA has some pretty severe knife laws regarding blades on campus, which is where I spend lots of time.

I carry an Victorinox SAK OHT (Trailmaster vintage) now the Trekker.

This along with my Necker can handle a LOT!

I keep a Victorinox SAK Rucksack in the pocket of my BK-7 sheath.

I often carry a Victorinox SwissTool while carrying the BK7 or BK9 or BK1.
