What kind of Knife would you expect a Knife Shop owner to personally carry?

I'm not an owner but I currently manage a tactical gear/knife shop with the biggest selection available physically in store locally. Very often, my customers would want to know what kinda stuffs I'm carrying, stashed at home or in my wish list. we enjoyed chatting and comparing pointers for them. I carry mainly production knives and sometime will modified them in some ways to personalize them to my liking. As I'm more of a knife user then a collector, I'm not bothered with the knives being low or high end so long it's well designed and I have no second thoughts about using them even if it's expensive. If a knife is too pretty for me to use then I'm unlikely to get it but if I did, I will likely sell if off fast and use the fund to get others.

I agree with the Southern Grind group. I've been carrying a bad monkey for almost a year now and it's been a great knife and a great conversation piece. It still looks as good as it did the day I took it out of the leather koozie.

I got the owner of a larger Canadian west coast store owner on the phone years back. I was calling about a Rahja 2 I believe. He told me spontaneously what he was carrying that day. All I remember is a Cold Steel AK47 and something else quite large. I remember thinking to myself that this guy packs a lot of cutting steel on the street.

Local guy at one has a griptillian.

The other place caters to tactical stuff. He has a zt of some sort with the tiger stripe and spade sized blade.
