What knife are ya carrying most these days ?

Yo Pit,

Ya gotta thin that baby out a little - like this:

Of course, I could have photoshopped all of this in just to impress... At the risk of more flames, when you get 52100 this thin, it will out cut ANY Mora (running, laughing, ducking for cover)...

That said, my Bandicoot and my Fehrman PM are both by EDC's, depending upon whether I wake up on my left side or my right side. ;) It's nice to have choices!

here is the rat trap i have carried in the past...........

Yeah I think that's what it really needs bro, I did make mine more acute but still not enough to really affect it's cutting ability !!!

Around town I have been carrying the Farmer:

The last two trips have seen my Fiddleback Nessie along:

And usually my NWA forum knife as well.

Well I just started training for Massage Therapy last month so everybody is getting used to me but to help break the knife ice I have been carrying this most of all:

The rest of the time I have had this around my neck (my wedding knife for myself):

It looks like it has been used a lot, but I just did not have time to finish it well before my wedding and have not given it a really good refurbishing (and probably won't).

Not as nice as the blades shown, but this is fast becoming my favorite,

I wish I had bought a half a dozen of these when wally world had them on clearance back some years ago.

I love that knife dispatch. I have the Taylor brand Sharpfinger and I love that little knife. If im correct that is a Bear and Son sharpinger right? I want one of those to. I dont blame you for liking that knife, its one of my favorites. I carry a Rat3 most of the time but I would be just as happy having that.

Hi Rock - your the first I've seen to mention the wet enviro recon. Glad you like it so much. Maybe you could give us a review sometime. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like BRKT will be putting this one into production - or at least there is some kind of delay of it. I noticed that KSF cleared their stock of prototypes just last month.

Yeah, I've seen production delayed or drop off...it's a great blade design...similar to the Nebula but with a more comfortable handle. The blade is slightly longer and thinner than my Bravo-1. I'm waiting on Jeff Law to shoot me an email to send it to him...he made a great horizontal/vertical sheath for my Bravo-1; I like it so much, I would like to get one for my Wet Enviro. I'll get off my butt and get a few reviews completed...it's been busy this fall! Unfortunately, more work than play:grumpy:

Here is the SAK I carried from the mid seventies on - with new scales somewhere along the line. My original Buck 110 was lost along the way, that's a much more recent purchase. The 301 may be from ~'90.

About six years ago, the drawer full of dulled oddball SAKs and a few Buck 110s were joined by some Kershaws, with that Blur being a real favorite. 6/07 added the Spyderco Native S30V - the Damascus Leek came a couple of months later. The Native is an EDC that gets real use - and has even been sharpened! The Kershaw Damascus Leek is a fun piece - it sees lots of pocket time - and gets 'shown' a bunch, as do the assortment of interesting 110s. That Spyderco Native is a great pocket companion.

I did start carrying a Bark River Huntsman, either sheathed in it's small sheath or the KSF pocket sheath, early this year. It was infrequent - a pocket folder was better and really an EDC in shorts this past summer. Still, that size fb was quite handy. In all seriousness, I dissected appliance-sized cardboard boxes with that Native. It may have just replaced my kershaw Blur as a favorite, at least to the point where I never added the S30V or SG2 Blurs to my collection this past year. I did get a spare, still unused, Native, of course!

These are the 2 knives I like to carry everday. Usually I just carry my kat knife though. I love it because I can carry it as a neck knife with my handy dandy kydex sheath made by Jeff H. Neck knives are so handy because they are literally right at your fingertips.
I really enjoyed this thread because there are so many knives out there I haven't seen or heard of.....Good job everyone....

This is what I carry most of the time (EDC at work):

In the woods, lately my knife-of-choice has been a Mora Classic.

My EDC is my Farmer. My Hiking Companion is my Kosters Bushcraft:

Hey Talfucher! Could you tell us a bit more about that clip on your farmer? Wenger is now selling some SAK's with a pocket clip but as much as I like the heft of Wenger Ranger series while doing tough jobs, I find them heavy. I have a Ranger (don't ask me which model) that is basicaly the Wenger interpretation of the Vic Rucksak (but it doesn't have tweezers) and I don't use it much (I bought it this summer in Zermatt during a climbing trip). I wish I could get a clip on any Victorinox SAK. Did you just buy the clip and attached it yourself after drilling and threading the holes on the Farmer aluminum scales?

Inquiring mind wants to know!

Edc is a Vic pioneer harvester, when heading out lately I've been grabbing the benchmade Rant.Old pic, looks a bit used now :D

And that is no bull! :p

One of my favorite carries for days off and hiking is an older Blackjack Woodsman. It has a thin, convex ground 52100 blade. After a little work on the strop, I believe it takes the scariest-sharp edge of any of my knives. I like it so much, I bought a second one. They're worth looking for....

Stay sharp,

EDC is an Anza Medium Hunter Bastard with a 2-1/4 inch blade and 4-inch handle. Obviously high carbon blade. I also like and must buy an A.G. Russel Woodswalker--don't need it but I want it. If I need a longer blade I'll also take my Frosts carbon Clipper or my Moose Iisakki Jarvenppa with a 4-inch carbon blade.

Natural-Outlaw

SAK Tinker. It's in the little pocket on the right side of my jeans everyday. It gets the most use, but it also gets the most attention to the edge.

My other knives is jealous...Sometimes I gotta keep my pimp hand strong on 'em for mouthin' off...
