What knife brand can you just not walk away from?

Spyderco.
Thin. Light weight. Strong. Sharp. Well made. The Clip. The HOLE!

Have been trying to stretch into some other higher end knives lately but some how I keep finding myself reaching for/carrying a Benchmade Griptilian my wife got me 2 years ago.

Ganzo!!!!..........

jajajaja.. just kidding.. just want to see the look on some faces... Buck and Kabar.. my favorites..

Whatever brand I'm carrying that day...

See what I did there? I can't walk away from because I'm carrying it.... wokka-wokka-wokka.

I'm a cheapskate, so it's hard to not get attracted to Schrade, Smith & Wesson, SanRenMu and Enlan. I am of the opnion that these brands virtually own the entire market at the $10 - $20 range; how many other brands can afford to use 7Cr17, 8Cr13Mov, 9Cr18Mov or even 12C27 in a knife that sells for $15 on average? Even Kershaw and CRKT charge $30 for 8Cr13mov steel.

Victorinox in folders and Mora in fixed blades for me. At this point, I'm not really trying to walk away from either anymore.

For me it has to be the AXIS lock, especially when it comes to work knives. For my uses it's just hard to beat that one-handed flick for opening and (probably more importantly) closing.

Victorinox.

I love traditional pattern folders. I like the look and feel of jigged bone, exotic wood, horn, stag, micarta, and 'old yeller' Delrin. My sweet spot for traditionals is a single or double backspring configuration, 3.5" closed. But as much as I love my traditionals, a Victorinox SAK offers greater utility in similar dimensions. I might go a few days carrying a two-blade jack or trapper but it won't be long before my Vic Pioneer is back in the pocket.

For me its Spyderco, they hit that price point where its higher end and amazing quality but wont break the bank.

for me its Zero Tolerance.... I keep thinking ok now that i got (insert model here) im set, i dont need anything else. just the last few months i got a 0606cf a 0801BRZ and the 0999
earlier in the year i got the 0804cf the 0095BW and a little before that i got the 0801

I also love the knives designed by G&G Hawk. they are only about 30 min away from me and are largely responsible for me being into knives. The first non-fleemarket POS knife i owned was a Kershaw RAM by G&G hawk and i was hooked. Now i can finnaly say i own a custom of theirs, a OTF called the deadlock that has ZERO blade play. I am always very impressed with their designs. I am of course a little biased but i think Gavin Hawk is on of the best designers out there. He is always pushing the envelope of what is possible. most makers seem to have a theme and they stick with that style knife but gavin makes all different kinds of knives from fixed blade to regular folders, flippers, autos and OTF knives and each one has a new and unique opening/lock mechanism and design. he doesnt just take a previous model and tweak it a little and change the name, he builds a new one from the ground up using a new lock design or opening method he invented.

i do buy some other brands like spyderco but i almost always sell them and go back to ZT. no other company in my opinion makes flippers as good as ZT. I tried the spyderco positron and the mantra. both were ok knives but they just couldnt compare to any of my ZTs. The only spydercos ive been able to keep are my Mule team knives, a 4v and maxamet. the thing i like best about spyderco is the steels they use so i really hope that someday they will make a flipper that can compete with ZT as i would love to add a spyderco to my EDC group. I keep trying to like their folders but so far it just hasnt happened for me.

I love my Les George "Talos" it's been difficult to get away from I bought it thinking I was gonna like it, then I got it and was blown away!
