What knife brand can you just not walk away from?

Spyderco(mainly milie, pm2, manix 2 and Bradley air) and Carson Tech Griffin with a N77 blade. No matter what I buy, how nice of a custom or midtech I get, in then end I still choose to carry either one of my studies or what I consider knife perfection in the Griffin. Though the Ritter mini grip has been seeing a lot of pocket time ever since I got it, very nice example of an axis lock knife.

Spyderco has been my standby, but Cold Steel has become of great interest lately.

To be honest, the only brand that I can't "walk away from" is Victorinox. Most everything else I can live quite well without.

For the longest time I just didn't have an answer for this question. I like what I like, I buy what I like, never one brand that really holds me . . . all though I can talk fit and finish issues and really bang the table good and bad.

Today . . . I have an answer :

What Knife Brand Can I Not Walk Away From ?

The brand that has the next Wowbagger potential transmogrification lurking inside it like a frightened puppy.

You know the story of the sculptor cutting away everything that doesn't look like a ______ (knife).

When I accidentally see a potential victim . . . er I mean . . . a knife with potential . . . a grail in my twisted view . . . I just have to buy that knife and roll up my sleeves and hoist the lightening collector electrodes.

Remember the Ti Lite IV al'Bagger ?
Love this thing ! ! !
. . . and then there was the Urban Trapper / KreyEx Super Dermal Graft
. . . just a matter of time before I spot another . . . "donor". And then I won't be able to stop myself . . .
:D AAAAAHHHH HaHaHaAAAAAHHHHH :D

The knives that have stood the test of time the longest for me have been CRKs. However, I consider myself a Spyderco guy. [emoji15]

Spyderco for me. Maybe it's the ergos, or maybe it's the ffg, maybe it's all the sprint runs or availability of aftermarket goodies, I never seem to get bored with Spyderco. ZT would have to be a very close second. Those 2 brands cover all the bases for me.

yes . . . YES ! ! !
some times . . . in the wee hours . . . after I have fallen asleep on the couch from a grueling night of typing in the forum . . . I have strangely compelling dreams of grinding away at a Umnumzaan. Thinning the blade . . . sculpting those lovely Ti frames . . .

. . . then The Chef wakes me and I just lie there . . . a quaking and twitching wreck with no proper explanation for my cries of ecstasy in the night.
:o :)

Benchmade - the legendary service helps me sleep better at night =) This, even though I know I'm paying a premium overall

Well started with Kershaw Leek then the Kershaw Blur in S30V where i first got intoduced to stonewash. That stonewash just bit me. Next thing u know i have about 15 a mixture og Benchmade abd Spydies. Well then got into midtechs/CRK and still to this day but the latest knife bug is my evergrowing love for Shiros, just cant stop handling them.

Still love my CRK though prob best overall knife the large 21 insigno in particular for me. The easiest in n out of the pocket while still retaining a strong tension. Love that the blades are not wide (like many spydies) and very usefull hollow grind. If a person ever needed just 1 folder for a suburban enviorement it would have to be a Sebenza. Then again the CRK is like a virus once it gets its paws in u very hard to let it go. Before u know it u r like LW and have over a 100 ;)

Not so much the maker as it is the knife. Sebenza. Its actually stressing me out trying to make a decision on one. I at least have it narrowed down a bit. Ebony inlays and Carbon fiber inlays are leading the pack so far but finding them is a real chore.

for me it's spyderco and ZT, although I only like one of the new ZT models, the 562. so other than that I will not be buying any more ZT. Going to start buying more GEC/case instead.

I've been trying to walk away from an Olamic for a few months now. Now I've fallen and I can't get up.
