What knife brand can you just not walk away from?

Spyderco Southard. I keep buying knives, but more often than not I carry a Southard still:

Totally agree. Such an outstanding knife.

I'll get hooked on a different brand every few months but always come back to Spyderco.

Crk and strider for me.

I've bought and sold quite a few of each. Only to end up with another variation of the two again.

Hinderer, ZT, Spyderco, and Benchmade are the brands that currently I cannot walk away from. I think I will be walking away from Cold Steel and Buck by selling all my knives of these two brands. I just started with CRK so I cannot tell if eventually stick to it or depart.

I go through stages. I get into a brand, spend too much money, and then I get bored and try something new. This has happened with Hinderer, Fiddleback Forge, Busse, Bradford and now it is starting again. This time Winkler is the new target. I am ordering a Belt Knife in maple but will eventually have all the handles. The other brands I listed are my absolute favorites at the moment. I'm sure Winkler will join that list too.

Pretty much same for me. The past 2-3 months I've been on a Hinderer binge. Before that, I amassed about 8 Spydercos over the course of a year, but I have since sold all but 3 because I just never had a use for the others.

The past 2 months I got a few nice XM-18's. Also big on Busse to a lesser extent, but Busse is one of those brands that I continually get every now & then, it never really goes away. Now that I've got the different types of blades/grinds I wanted on the Hinderers, I'm moving into Fiddleback and CRK next. Never had a CRK before, so not sure if it'll last or be a one-hit wonder. Fiddleback I love the handles and craftsmanship, they look awesome but perform even better...so I think they're going to be another long-term keeper.

I keep coming back to Benchmade. I absolutely love the Axis lock, and their customer service is great. I also like ZT, but I'm tired of flippers and frame locks. I gave CRK a try as well. The Sebenza has amazing quality, but something was missing. I know a lot of people love CRK, and I can understand why, but I don't (yet) think they're for me. I get more pleasure from a nice Axis folder at half the price.

For me I have mostly specific knives from a variety of brands but as companies that I will always be attracted to would have to be

-Hinderer
-Benchmade
-Chris Reeve
-Zero Tolerance

These are the 4 main companies that I usually pick from.

I like GEC's, especially the Northwoods models made for Kniveshipfree. However, its hard to beat Victorinox SAKS, in particular the SAK Farmer, for value and utility.

Kershaw. No matter how many cheap Chinese knives they make, they still make some good quality knives. Link, Launch, and Skyline to name a few.

For me it would have to be the xm-18s, SMFs and the full size insingo's. Even tho I have found my grails in each, I cant help but clicking on the exchange listings for all of them.......that and Spyderco listings....Im always afraid Ill miss out on a spyderco that I had no idea existed in the first place.:o
Sometimes I wish I could rewind time and be back to the understanding that Spyderco was the highest level in quality in which you could obtain......life would be so much more simple.....lol.:D

Cold Steel. Especially for their 4-inch-plus folders.

And Germany made Boker Tree brand. The classic backlocks they make..

Victorinox because they are legal to carry and spyderco because they carry the best and most versatile Sortiment of my liking. Also both brands offer incredible service.

Lately Hinderer is beckoning me back to the herd. My son gave me a XM-18 3.5" working finish spanto with battle bronze lock side & inner scale, and that rekindled the fire. Inbound is a 24 bowie in full titanium. Guess I'll be waiting a little longer on the intended Wicked Edge purchase.

For me it would have to be 3 companies.
Pro Tech
Benchmade
Spydie.......in no particular order.
Great CS and designs that catch my eye.......and wallet!!!

There was a thread not long ago asking posters to list their top 5 knife brands. I listed Shirogorov, Chris Reeve, Benchmade, Spyderco, and ZT, though I fudged a bit on the order. While my Shiro 95T is my current fave and perhaps the best knife I've owned, I'd have to say the two I can't walk away from are CRK and Benchmade. The Chris Reeve design aesthetic is unique in its clean simplicity of engineering and the quality of fit and finish is superb. I've never quite found the words to describe what I like so much about Benchmade. Their designs reflect a certain no-frills practicality and the breadth and variety of their offerings is outstanding and covers a lot of bases.

Both brands offer tremendous value within the scopes of their pricing and offer great customer service and communication.
