What knife do you keep by your bed? !!Pics!!

I keep my glasses by my bed. I don't need tools in the middle of the night.

I find large blades to be completely impractical near the bed. I personally have either a RAT 3 or CRKT Hissatsu (the largest knife I would consider). Long blades are pretty useless if you're still on your back in bed.

If someone breaks into my house, they're going to have to worry about being shot rather than stabbed. The right tool for the job, and unless i'm somewhere without a gun, it'll be my first line of defense.

Let me add....when i has maybe 10 my father was awoken with a burgler going through his pants pockets NEXT TO THE BED! He jumped up screaming...guy made a run for the door...dad grabbed a full size bow and arrow...he was naked....chased the guy down the street screaming with the bow and arrow...naked :)

i usually just put whatever knife i was carrying that day next to my bed. not because i want to keep a weapon there, just because thats where i put the things i take out of my pocket- wallet, change, cell, keys

I have a chair by my bed that has my edcs on it. Also, it has a fixed blade or two on it. I wont bore you with pics of my knives:P

not for defense, more because there is a shelf on the headboard,a cold steel trailmaster & a busse jackhammer

Love this question... ;)

On my side there's a Cold Steel OSS. On my wife's side there's a Cold Steel Peace Keeper 1.
We're always very polite to each other, even when we fight. :D

A coworker of mine used to keep a fixed blade (don't know which one) with a very sharp edge stuck point first in the floor between his bed and the wall...no real headboard to get in the way. Anyway, without many bad guys he soon forgot it was even there. Then one day, he was looking for something and reached back there and slit his forefinger from stem to stern. He felt like an idiot, but I sure got some mileage out of it.

Same for me, whatever I've had one me that day ends up in my nightstand next to my bed. I've never believed in using a knife for self-defense.

For me and a lot of others who may have restrictions or live in restrictive areas, impact and edged weapons are the only way to go.

You have a valid point. I always had it beaten into my head when I was younger a knife wasn't weapon. Personally I'd go for a bat but I don't have as nice toys.
