What knife do you own that you would never part with?

I had Phil make me a large Classic with maroon scales, added a thumbstud, and he stretched out the blade to 4 9/16" that I got a couple of years ago.He now has a 6 year wait, and at my age could not likely be able to be replaced. I have a lot of customs from collecting in the last 20 years when I got my first custom but this is my favorite.
The 2nd one is a R J Martin Devastator that my wife just gave to me this past Father's Day.

mine would be a CASE XX 11031 I've had for 25 years. The other would be a randall 8-4 given to me by my wife on my 40th birthday.

I have three that come immediately to mind. Two that I actually did a lot of the work on myself, and one that was my first custom, and also carries some sentimental value...

Kit Carson medium Model 4 that Kit built for me several years ago. The Talonite blade material was a gift from the late, great Doctor Walt Welch, who was a founding member of BladeForums.

Darrel Ralph double-action EDC. I spent three great days with Darrel learning how to make an automatic folder.

GenO Denning Model C hunter. The first knife I ground, and did most of the other work on as well. GenO's a far better teacher than I was a student.

Mine is a two bladed English pocket kinfe by James Barber, the ERA.

Like other peoples favourite, this one was my father's knife. I carry it all the time every day.

Incidentally, with it just for sizing, is my home Guinness :D :D :D bottle opener. It was my Granda's - he gave it to me one evening i was up visiting. Sitting thinking now, many's a good pint i have opened with that one :p

Funny how, in a time of shockingly expensive knives and objects, it's the cheap things which mean so much

My Father gave me a Buck model 500 Duke. That knife has literally been arounbd the world with me when I was a crewchief in the Air Force.

I'd never want to part with my very first knife. An old Victorinox swiss army knife that my father gave to me on my 7'th birthday. I carried it everywhere for a very long time. It is old enough to vote and banged up pretty good, but it was my first.

For me it would be my Benchmade 730CFHS. It's not too big or small, the carbon fiber handle is a piece of art, and the blade will cut like there's no tomorrow.

It's a keeper. :)

My Bud Nealy Aikuchi, I've owned this knife since I first met Bud at the first ECCKS, back in the early 80's when he went full time as a maker.

It was his first show, the knife was one of 7 he brought to sell, and has been my constant companion since then.

The bottom pic is my old Nealy Aikuchi, and the top my new Nealy Stinger

I'd sell the Stinger even though it's 1 of 2 but the Aikuchi stays with me forever.

I have two knives in my collection, I would never part with. One is my Buck/Strider 880SP. Its just one of my favorites due to it's size and quality. (I know , I know there are alot better quality ones out there, but for the price.....well you know)

The other is a handmade one from one of my relatives in Norway. It was crafted in or around 1937, it has a wire inlay, possibly copper or brass, with date 1937. My father bought it back when I was a baby, it has the initials L.P. on it(also inlayed),one of our relatives names. It was given to my mother because she has the same initials after she married my father. As time would have it, and by sheer coincidence, my daughter's name has the same initials. I hope to give it to her one day. (She's only 4)

Sorry if I seemed long winded, but thanks for reading this short tale. :)

I just gave this Bowie to my brother for his birthday. It took me 3 weeks to make. Ya don't get very attached to knives when you can make 'em.

This is the one I'll always have. It was my first Sebbie ever and was bought as a plain jane. Then I sent it to Matt Cucchiara for the Meltdown and Fizz and it feels like a completely different knife. I can't see myself selling this one out of all the rest I have.

It's hard to part with any of them, but I'll pick for sentimental reasons.

It would be the cheap, probably $10, a 440 stainless "boot knife"

My uncle gave it to me, and it was his sole carry in the military. Today, I want to clean it up and sharpen it and regift it.

I got 3

a old PAL knife from WWII I think it may be either my gramps or my uncles

a old buck 110 that was my dads (it was my first knife as well)

and last but not least is my beat up but shaving sharp CS AK47 that I got before they switched to the triad lock its my constant companion when I'm not home
