What knife for $750?

If this is about what you want, then I'd suggest something from André Thorburn, or (money towards) a Rockstead Higo-X.

If it's about what I would buy, then I'd put that $750 towards a Rockstead Shun.

beautiful bunch of folders. I like your taste.

An Opinel or Mora for the first 50 respondents to the mother of all Bladeforums give-aways?

Southern grind bad monkey and a nice escort...

I'm switching my vote back to a Valkyrie and TR/Terzuola. You can't start with a Thorburn, you won't
understand the nuances of good, if you start with great. Gotta work your way up to one. Also, I think
the Valkyrie challenges our perceptions/prejudices about price/quality/value.

That T.A.D folder looks mighty nice... and there's nothing wrong with blues benders choices either. I wouldn't say no to any of them. :D

If there was money left over I've grab a Spyderco Gayle Bradley since it has been on the list for a while now. I need to pull the trigger before the supply dries up. The first edition has less choil to get in the way during cutting.

Congrats Cricketdave.

Pretty simple question just thought that would be interesting to see what people would choose if they randomly found $750 in your wallet!
I'd buy a vintage WW2 Case 337-6"Q and save the other ~$600-$650

I'd never, ever, ever spend that kind of money on a knife, but — playing along for the sake of playing along — a handforged puukko with a stacked birchbark handle.

I'd go after a Thorburn front flipper.

I really wish Rockstead offered a flipper. Or even just one with a nail nick like a Mnandi. I really don't like the look of their thumb studs. Remind me of one of those tropical flies with their eyes out on stalks.

I'd begin shopping for that nice '50's-'60's vintage Italian switchblade that has eluded me for so long--probably a Campolin, Beltrame or Sons of Italy, 11 or 12" OA, bayonet or FFG blade. Preferably in 1095 or better.....

I found $5 in my stack of bills that I thought had slipped out of my pocket---I was thrilled.

No knives for $750---I'd be getting a new stainless Super Blackhawk

I'm not exactly rich and not exactly poor but for me $750 is gun money ---not knife money---all my knives are $200 or less

Most likely a Thorburn. Maybe hold off and get two of a lower prices knife. But probably just get a Thorburn.

I'd have a functional, yet different, knife custom made. Something very useful for EDC, but eye catching as well. Make it a family heirloom to keep passing down through the years.
