What knife got you addicted to knives

Well, I only had a Spyderco Tenacious, and my good buddy Zoris had a bunch of great knives, benchmades and such, and his favorite was the Adamas. I felt the quality and realized I "needed" a better knife so then I bought some Cold Steels. I realized that wasn't enough and you know what happens.

i started with a kershaw chive, and well the knive became way higher in quality (and price) from there lol

The knife that made me enthusiastic about modern folders, and quality knives in general was a Kershaw Chive I obtained when I was younger. It just fascinated me in its construction, and was one of the first quality knives I purchased on my own.

it was the bm mini ambush and spyderco pacific salt. i was just getting into knives and i snagged em for a crazy deal on a nother forum. they were the first nice knives i bought and i was hooked.

I have always carried a knife but what relay set me off is the that Knives are one thing that you can truly say that is MADE in THE USA.

my very first knife is ontario rat 1. but my very first higher end knife that got me REAL addicted is my emerson cqc 8

Victorinox Swiss Army Cadet when I was 10. Parents bought it for me and said, "Dont cut yourself." We were on a car trip in the northwest. I probably cut myself 15 times in those two weeks. Sucked so much blood off my fingers in the back seat so they wouldnt know hehe.

This one

Classic knife:)

First purchase was a zt0700. Didn't really like it so I bought a manix 2 xl. That started my love affair with knives. I thought that was expensive just months ago and recently I got my first sebenza, curtiss nano custom framelock, and a mikkel willumsen all in the same month. I never have money now, but atleast I have something to show for it that I cam take pride in!

Simple, it was any of the Tarzan knives watching old movies on Sunday afternoons. My folks grew up in the 40's so I came to appreciate all the older film classics.

The first knife that really got me was an extra large tan to voyager by cold steel. It was around 1999. I wanted it because bit was so big. I used to stare at it in my local gun shop. My dad bought it for my birthday. It was the older model with the plastic molded clip. After that knife it went downhill. I still have that fascination with large folders.

The knife that got me hooked was the FFBM, but I had to sell it to buy my GF a present ...I'll always miss that one.

Kershaw blackout. I had been collecting traditional slipjoints for years and decided to try the new tactical folders. What really sold me on it was the assisted opening, kind of like a poor mans switchblade.

Randall Model 14 with stainless blade & sawteeth. Bought directly from Doug Kennefeck at his house. Wish I still had that one.
