What knife got you addicted to knives

Definitely my grandfather's old Schrade. That knife has to be at least 70 years old, probably more, and it's still one of my prized possessions.

I had my first opinel when i was like 6 it was a number 1 with keyring and my parents asked to dull the tip and the edge ^^ i wasnt allowed to "play" with it without supervision, seeing that i was cautious with it my parents bought me a Laguiole when i was like 8 and this time i was allowed to have it sharp and pointy...
For my 12 th birthday i received a Vic Swiss champ which i enjoyed thoroughly and sharpened on a kitchen power sharpener until it shaved just to cut myself shortly after...
In a 1996 or 98 issue of a french gun mag i stumbled upon a review of the Spyderco Q and at this time i knew i would get one someday which i did quite later.
Around 2000 i bought my first "expensive" (at the time it was for me) which was a CRKT stiff KISS tanto. The same year i snatched a C05 standard serrated from Spyderco by this time i got bitten by the bug badly.

My dad gave me a really nice Anza knife as a gift a few years ago and it has just kinda spiraled out of control from there lol.

My grandfather gave me what appeared to be a muti-function knife when I was 8 years old. It had several different blades including a spoon and a fork. It also had hardwood handles. I brought that thing everywhere including school. In the late 70s, one could do such a thing without being accused of carrying a weapon. Since then, I always carried some form of keychain SAK / Vic. In more recent times, I think it was the Spyderco Military. Once I was bitten by the Spyder, there was no turning back, and has since become a full blown addiction.

As a kid , i had a few sheath knives brought from local town hunting and sports shop, along what must have been buck knife knock offs ie 110 folders, but what re lit my interest approx 5 years ago benchmade 710 and spyderco delica. It has gone from sterenth to strenth unlike my speeling. Have fun Faron.

Opinel #10 and Coldsteel Pocket Bushman and Mora Neverlost are my first "real knives". Basically, these three are my gateway drugs. Still own them and I remember clearly what they're meant to me... lol

The standard Benchmade 940 was the first knife I looked at and wanted, regardless of cost. My Delica 4 was my first quality knife that I actually acquired [for $20 no less!] that really made me appreciate well built knives.

Christmas 2010 my soon to be ex-wife gave me an Endura 4 plain edge. I've been hooked since then.

A Microtech LCC , and i was hooked , but to be honest Busse knives got me totally in .

Fallkniven F1 (top) was the first knife I have bought and the rest is history

A Gerber Paul knife I bought back in 1979 - which I still have. (back when Gerber made top of the line cutlery) From there it was on to Puma knives, and eventually Spyderco & Brnchmade n the mid 90's.

For me, it was the first 'sharp' knife that I used. It wasn't even that long ago. It was a Kershaw Oso Sweet. 8Cr13Mov. I slash cut some caution tape at work. Holy shit it just slit right through. I was used to using real crappy Chinese knives.

The Schrade Deerslayer and Sharpfinger. I did allot of butchering with those two, and they rode like companions on my belt for many years.

SOG Flash 2 was the first blade i bought after joining here, then Spyderco Tenacious, what really opened my eyes was my next purchase which was a ZT 350, and it quickly went uphill from there!
