What Knife Has Pleasantly Surprised You the Most?

My most recent purchase that amazed me was the CRKT Hi Jinx - I paid a bit for it... but I wasn't expecting too much but this knife just screams quality! the design (K. Onion) is seriously cool and it has great ergonomics... and the quality of build (Italy) is easily as good as my other customs...

so pleasantly surprised!

Fantoni HB 02 folder -- best F&F for a sub-$200 knife, slim profile and a cool titanium clip. S35VN done to 61-62 HRc - it has stayed sharp for a while now, with no signs of a dulling edge. Did a picture review here.

The Cold Steel Voyager Vaquero. I bought it as a project knife (reshaping the handle) but considering the price the fit and finish is avesome. And after I stropped it it became so sharp, that I really have to take care. It cut a very thin piece of my fingertip, like a filleting knife when I was careless wiping the blade. Super sharp, solid lock and tight tolerances at a low price.

I'm going to say my large buck vantage avid. I got it off of eBay for about $30 I think. I mostly got it because I liked the wood handle on pictures. Now I'm not going to lie, the fit and finish isn't up to par with my spyderco sage 1 but the blade 13c26 sandvik steel with that bos heat treat cuts everything and is easy to sharpen. I used the hell out of it when I worked the docks part time at FedEx and it preformed very well.

Ontario RAT 1. 4 years later it still locks up tight and the blade is perfectly centered. It's a bit of a tank

The exact same knives as BillyM, I'm actually happy to say that he helped me find info on these two when nobody at my local store knew a thing about them, Thank you Billy.

And my H&K Espionage

Both have been tough, stayed sharp, and have taken a huge beating with a smile

Tyronethepro, I de-assited both models and like them much better. I think I like the Flak more. Great inexpensive beaters.
