What knife have you put off buying?

After literally years, I finally broke down and ordered a Fallkniven WM1. There was always something fancier or newer to get every time I thought about it, and I just always moved it to the back burner, or forgot about it. What is your knife you keep putting off?

Not fancy or expensive but the Cold Steel American Lawman comes to mind and, more recently, the Finn Wolf folder they make.

Becker BK16.

I've wanted one since it came out (tried the BK17 in a pre-production pass-around and knew I wanted the BK16). Its been on my wish list since then, but the price has always been out of "just go ahead and buy it already" range. I know its not fancy, or rare, I just haven't had the chance to spend any discretionary income on it. That, and I feel its ok to want something for a while :).

There's a couple that I've been putting off buying due to their hefty price tag. Sniper Bladeworks LPC and the Greg Lightfoot M1 Framelock. Both look fantastic. But after considering the extreme satisfaction I get from knives like my Yojimbo2 and my 710 (each costing between $110-$160) , I can't seem to justify dropping $600-$700 on a single blade.

But for some reason after a cocktail or two it seems perfectly logical. Go figure 😀

I've been wanting this knife for ever a years, but is very costly!
the steel is honyaki grade. Meaning they get a large block of quality steel, and hammer it by hand for a long time until they hammer out the impurities.

Soon though, soon.

Zero Tolerance 0180. When they were first announced, I wanted one strictly for collecting purposes after being so happy with my 0160. However, over the course of the past year or so, my interest in camping has increased dramatically, and I would love to have a 0180 for outdoor use. That being said, it's more knife than I could ever realistically use to anywhere near its full potential, and double or triple the cost of knives I already own that are quite capable for the same purposes.

Ah, who am I kidding? I'll end up buying one regardless.

Kershaw Launch. Want to give it a shot but can't see myself carrying it over what I already have.

For me, it's the CRK Insingo. I've been periodically going back and forth in my mind for 5 years about whether I want the small or large model. I'm not planning on getting both; and if I get one, it will only be my third CRK knife since 2002. I'm leaning toward the small, since I already have a large Seb and an Umnumzaan. It's probably a good thing I've waited, since I hear that CRK has recently increased the hardness of their blades.

ESEE 3, ESEE 5, a Seax from Himalyan Imports, BK16 (I think; the one with the bottle opener), Benchmade Adamas, a full-sized Griptilian, and others that I can't think of. I'll eventually end up with something from Fairly, Koster, Nighthaxan, and at least two other makers from here. But not yet.

Spyderco Gayle Bradley.

Waiting on the Gayle Bradley 2, I think it will be a better fit for me.

For me, it's just a simple Sebenza and/or Zaan. Every I get ready with $, I find I can get 2-3 ZT's or equivalent, and end up stepping down to higher volume productions. But it'll still happen some day soon. Not because I don't have a bunch of really nice knives (and a ton of cheapies), but just because of the constant praise I hear and the fact that I've never had one.

Same here. It doesn't help that I can't actually take the knife outside.

I'm torn between a good balisong or just saving the money toward a playstation 4.

With butterfly knives it seems you don't get a lifetime lasting one till you hit around the $200 mark. For the price of a cheap balisong you can get a lifetime quality regular edc folding knife.

So I want to flip but I don't know if I want to pay that much just to flip. I think I would be good at it though. I'm also in FL I can EDC it.

For me, it is a Sebenza. I see all of the raves about them, and I believe them; but, I can't justify the price. It just does not seem that much different from a good, well researched $150- $200 knife. Of course, I do not use my non-camping/hunting knives very much (which may be the heart of the problem). Maybe one day :).
