What knife have you put off buying?

Been trying hard not to pull the trigger on a Rockstead Higo, Olamic Wayfarer, or anything made by Andre Thorburne.

Ritter Reptilian, because I have a regular Grip and can't justify the Ritter.

Cold Steel AL and Code 4 DP, because I can't make up my mind.

Benchmade Volli, something always gets in the way of me getting this knife. Last time my wife was injured at work and had to take some time off.

Out of these four, the Volli is the one I want the most.

Busse Battle Mistress. I keep hearing how dull they come, and no edge bevel thickness figure...

Gaston

Mine have all been razor sharp. I even have one that is a collector and very old. I bet it will shave paper. The newer CG models can be dull, but every LE model I have seen is razor sharp. But,really, this should not put you off of buying one since you can make your money back and then some later on if you don't like it.

If there was a knife that I REALLY had to have, I'd get it, whether that meant saving up or suffering the wrath of the warden. What I juggle with are the "toy" knives. Those that are not practical or really serve a useful purpose, but are just fun to goof with. I recently popped on a Condor Jungle Bowie on a recent order. The duality or dichotomy of wanting/not wanting this knife was not lost on me. But my preferred vendor was dumping them too cheaply to pass up on. So, after bypassing this one for a couple of years, Lord help me, I have one coming in with some other toys.

Don't put off buying something for too long. It will just get more expensive and eventually they'll stop making it.

I put off buying a Spyderco Centofante 3 for about two years. I loved the look but the thin blade, pinned-together construction and smooth FRN scales with only one side metal lined just seemed too fragile. After finally buying one, it became one of my favorite knives. The thin blade slices like a laser, the smooth FRN is actually grippy, it fits my hand perfectly and the construction is strong enough for any purpose I'm likely to encounter. I bought a second one to keep as insurance against loss and future discontinuance from the catalog.

You and I have similar tastes. Just scored a Thorburne on IG and I'm working with Eugene now on a Wayfarer.

If you don't mind my asking, how did Rockstead get on your radar? I live in OR and most of the knives I buy I've only seen on IG or Youtube.

A Spyderco Salt, one of the smaller models, for saltwater fishing. Eminently practical but doesn't excite me. I'll just pull the trigger on one before the season is over...if for no other reason than I fear for my other blades.
A Bark River City Knife. Small classy fixed blade. My Candiru doesn't cut it with a sportcoat. I will have one, someday.
An Al Mar Nomad. Just like the knife, always have. And everytime I think to get one, Al Mar raises the price.
An Emerson Gentleman Jim. I have absolutely no use for a full fledged fighter, heck, the CQC-7 was more knife than I needed. But the knife is just so bad-a$$, I really want one. Don't know what I'd actually do with it...but I want one.

The wife has threatened to behead me with my BK-5 if I buy another knife, so I've put everything off for the time being.

I've been wanting a fallkniven f1 for ages. Keep putting it off and getting other things. Their lackluster warranty has also caused some hesitation. Still, it's on my to do list.

Also, would like a spyderco pm2. I should get one, but just can't justify another edc folder right now.

Anything Damascus from Chris Reeve. I stare mindlessly at them on a daily. One day inhibitions will blow away with the wind and I'll pull the trigger and not be able to afford rent for two months. I'll have a sweet knife though ;)

Finally caved and got a PM2 arguably one of the best Spydercos of all time. I get it now.

Small micarta Insingo. Got the fever for one bad a few months ago, but decided it could wait till Xmas as a gift. Also goes for the Mnandi. Not really jonesing for one at all really, but could see it making a good anniversary gift down the road. But after the Insingo there's not really much left out there I'm interested in.

I have put off buying an Emerson CQC-13 for quite awhile.I absolutely LOVE the blade shape, the heavily pronounce clip point is one of my favorites.
Just recently(today actually) I got a gift card & was thinking "This is it,I'm going to get this knife today" but after doing some research & looking at other knives at the same price,I decided to go with the ZT0620CFCTS instead. The upgraded materials, plus the Ti framelock just got to me.My NEXT knife WILL be that CQC-13 though...I hope :o
